Today we’d like to introduce you to Gianni Neiviller.
Hi Gianni, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As a self-professed biohacker, I embarked on a new journey of self-discovery. I felt I was not living life to the fullest and knew there was more. After endless hours of devouring podcasts and reading books on the many biohacking modalities, I started experimenting on myself, continually tweaking and refining what works and what doesn’t. Through trial and error, I discovered sleep optimization, nutrition, and breathwork were vital in achieving physical, mental, and spiritual growth. I began to share my knowledge with friends and family, and the results were so inspiring; it led me to take a course in breathwork, cold plunging, and authentic relating. I am now a certified facilitator in breathwork with clients who share similar inspiring results.
I’ve come to understand that I will always be on this journey of self-discovery and experimentation. What works for one person does not necessarily work for another; we are all individuals with specific needs. Many times what may work at first could change as time goes by, hence the ever-evolving refining. There are no hard-fast rules to abide by, and we must be fluid and ready for anything. My approach to each client is about connecting and finding what works best for each individual.
This approach to general health and wellness is part of my mission to continually connect to the spiritual aspects of self-discovery and share it with many people interested in improving their lifestyle. A proper sleep routine and regular breathing exercises are at the core of our well-being. We will never have the life we want without giving our bodies the right amount of sleep and oxygen. These are fundamental human requirements.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s not a smooth journey, not by any means. What I engage in might seem unfamiliar and unconventional to most people. They often dismiss it as a passing trend or some obscure, mystical practice, which tends to put them off. What many fail to recognize is that while it does involve some spiritual elements that might seem a bit out there, it’s also firmly rooted in science.
Overcoming skepticism is just one hurdle; the bigger challenge is convincing individuals to confront their own demons and acknowledge their shortcomings. It’s daunting for them because they understand that working with me means facing aspects of themselves that they’ve been avoiding for most of their adult lives. I empathize with their hesitation because I’ve been there myself. The initial resistance is natural, and I still grapple with it from time to time myself. I know that whatever is setting me back is happening for me, not to me.
However, what I’ve learned is that any movement, regardless of the direction, is superior to stagnancy. There are moments when it feels like I’ve hit a wall, experiencing setbacks that are disheartening. Yet, without fail, these setbacks transform into breakthroughs. It might take weeks or even months before the real impact becomes apparent. It aligns with the old saying that taking a step or two backward can pave the way for ten steps forward. I’ve come to understand the profound truth behind this adage through my own experiences.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My work revolves around helping individuals break free from the pervasive state of low-level fight-or-flight that many are unconsciously trapped in. It’s a common phenomenon, and some individuals aren’t even aware of it, while others fear confronting it. I believe that the world needs more assistance in addressing this issue. My focus is on guiding people through intense breathwork exercises and ice plunges to help them overcome a spectrum of challenges such as stress, anxiety, limiting beliefs, grief, sadness, depression, and issues related to self-worth. The goal is to tap into their innate inner wisdom, fostering a reconnection with their intuition and gaining clarity on personal struggles.
What do you do, what do you specialize in / what are you known for?
I specialize in breathwork facilitation and ice plunge coaching. Through these practices, individuals unlock their inner wisdom, gaining insights that lead to transformative change. My sessions go beyond the physical and delve into the emotional and spiritual realms. It’s about helping people reconnect with themselves on a profound level, fostering resilience and mental well-being.
What sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is my personal journey — I’ve overcome my own struggles using the techniques I now teach. I firmly believe in the principle of “teaching what we need to learn most.” I approach my work with authenticity, eschewing trends and flashiness. My down-to-earth and sincere demeanor establishes a connection with my clients. Additionally, working in tandem with my wife, a sound healer and energy healer, adds a unique dimension to our services. The combination of breathwork and sound healing creates a truly immersive and transformative experience.
What are you most proud of brand-wise?
I take pride in the trust and comfort my clients feel when opening up to me. Creating a safe space is integral to my approach, and the positive response from those I work with is immensely rewarding. On a lighter note, I also happen to love our logo — it’s a small detail, but it symbolizes the essence of our brand.
What do you want our readers to know about your brand, offerings, services, etc.?
My wife, Kiki, and I collaborate to provide one-on-one private sessions and private group sessions. We are flexible, working both from our home and traveling to our client’s residences for added privacy. Our services extend to corporate accounts and recovery centers, highlighting the versatility of our approach. We conduct regular classes across various studios in LA, including locations in Burbank, Marina Del Rey, Silverlake, and Hollywood. Beyond that, we organize events throughout the city and host transformative retreats globally. Moreover, we occasionally contribute our expertise to retreats hosted by others, further expanding the reach of our unique modalities. I also offer virtual sessions for breathwork only.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The most crucial quality contributing to my success is authenticity. Being genuine, transparent, and relatable sets me apart in a field that often involves esoteric practices. My personal journey of overcoming challenges through the very techniques I now teach adds an authentic touch to my work. This authenticity not only establishes a deeper connection with my clients but also reinforces the effectiveness of the practices I advocate. Beyond that, my down-to-earth approach, sincere desire to help, and the collaborative effort with my wife in providing a holistic experience further emphasize the authenticity that underlies our brand. Ultimately, it is the authenticity in my teachings and interactions that fosters trust, creating a safe and transformative space for those seeking guidance and healing.
