Life & Work with Tony Mendoza

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Mendoza.

Tony Mendoza

Hi Tony, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
What got me into motorcycles, and how did I become a content creator influencer.

For me personally, my dad influenced me into riding motorcycles. I also grew up riding dirt bikes in my teens and around 19 is when I started to learn how to ride a street bike which was a Honda 919. I was self-taught and learned from all my mistakes. I definitely recommend any beginner rider out there that wants to get into riding motorcycles is to take an MSF riding course. Riding a motorcycle gives me a sense of freedom and it brings me peace. I ride for the thrill, for the camaraderie, most of my best friends are people I met through riding a motorcycle.

I became a content creator/ influencer on Instagram by just posting photos of my motorcycle adventures and bike lifestyle. As I grew my Instagram page brands started to reach out to me for a collab. I have worked with over 30 brands over the years. I currently have 14.8k organic followers on Instagram. I also don’t show my face on Instagram. Why don’t I show my face you say? I love that we are all just people; can’t tell race, gender, beliefs, etc., so we are all just riders not showing my face, and removing the helmet is part of the art and the mystery. I want to inspire others to ride, letting them know it doesn’t matter where you come from, what your beliefs are, or if you’re a man or woman we all have the same passion, we are all riders.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a long ride getting to where I’m at now. Instagram algorithm is a hit or miss. I feel that they want you to pay to play but staying consistent is key as a content creator. I joined Instagram back in 2011, but I didn’t start posting about my motorcycle lifestyle until 2015, so it took many years to get to where I am now.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a creative artist I feel hiding my face has contributed to alot of my success by adding a little bit of mystery to my persona which has encouraged me to share my riding journey through photos and videos. I am proud of how far I have come with my Instagram page and as an influencer/content creator. I am thankful that I had many opportunities working with multiple motorcycle named brands while doing what I love to do.

How do you define success?
Success is doing what you love and being able to share it with others. Being successful means achieving your milestones big or small and believing that you can and never giving up.
