Rising Stars: Meet Riiiver Jordan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Riiiver Jordan.

Hi Riiiver, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am RIIIVER JORDAN, flowing in from Grand Rapids, MI and now residing between Phoenix and Los Angeles. Coming from a small town in Michigan, I can remember dreaming about the superstar lifestyle I would one day have. One that allowed me to create music, perform, and create a better world with the world. It all started in Michigan in a studio in the basement where my step-father would allow my brother and I to learn the way around the studio. That accompanied with talent shows in school and forcing my siblings to learn routines kept my Dream alive at such a young age. With my mom working on a Doctorate and my Father a Superstar athlete, I have always had the drive and passion to bring the dream to life. Graduating high school a year early, I went straight into college that summer where I finished a year but realized my purpose in love and music. I then took my Dream to Atlanta, GA for a couple of summers where I learned much of the industry. Having done more modeling and Acting in Atlanta this allowed me to learn my way around and network with people in the industry I would one day rub shoulders with.

After some time in Atlanta and many new connections, my resume allowed for a challenging change, HOLLYWOOD! This led me to the City of Dreams, where I gladly accepted the challenge of making waves in a bigger pond. Somehow along the way, I was able to inspire others by telling my story of challenges overcome to even be alive and pursuing a dream. So much so that by the time I was my happiest I still had work to do. My love for wanting to save the world and give to an extent that cost me my home was next. I spent 14 months living in my car with my bestfriend “Brady” before Nick Cannon found me. With some guidance and insight, I was able to go home and begin the process of becoming which has led me here. Couple of vision board parties with the Squad later, here I am the beginning of the most amazing chapter yet.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being an artist of any kind isn’t the easiest in this world if you aren’t prepared mentally or spiritually, but it is possible, and the impact is worth more than words. There has always been struggle along the way, but two of the most impactful was my car accident as a baby and living in the backseat of my car for 14 months. Doctors told my mom after the accident I wouldn’t live as a “Normal” child. Yet I played every sport, and I plan on being one of the Greatest performers to ever do it (Inspired by Michael Jackson and Chris Brown). The second was living in my car for 14 months. Being in the service industry means every day for 14 months at two jobs, I was always smiling and happy because my focus was in the purpose. Always making sure to go above and beyond for anyone I come into contact with because I believe in love that way. I believe in myself and the world that way. So I loved, I smiled, I kept going regardless of how hard it got. Right before I was going to leave, I replied to an email that changed my life. Then Nick Cannon found Brady and I in my car, and from there here I am.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am most proud of the character I have built and how it has impacted my journey. My love for the fitness industry and growing spiritually have changed me in a way that impacts those around me on a daily. I no longer just want to create and perform music, but I want to lead in the next wave of music and world change. In such a disconnected yet connected time bringing people together to open their minds and teach and learn from one another. I have been lucky enough to speak my story around the country with the hope it inspired Dreams and healing. What’s possible when you don’t give up on YOU. How your mental and physical health is linked to healing from the past and moving forward through pain and challenges. Nick Cannon once told me my journey and my passion is in my tone. So I have to keep sharing it.

As the world changes, we see that love and passion for one another is what’s needed. I plan to bring that in every way and place I am. That’s what this is about and that’s who RIIIVER JORDAN is and the Blu Prints empire will be about. I want to give back on a Grander scale so that we can be inspired again by Art and connection. Healing if you will. With my music, I want to bring people together, make people dance, and make love music again while also reminding people of the power of perseverance and one’s own mind. My business BLU PRINTS and all it embodies will travel the world and bring those minds and dreamers together.

What were you like growing up?
I have always been about love and Romance. My Dad can sing, my mom is the most loving person I know, and my stepdad was a music producer, what do you think happens next? Growing up I was a big energy when I could be whether vocally with music and poetry or actively in sports, then I somehow became shy around high school. I could always dress, and I knew I wanted to be a Star in the music business. I loved to dance and play in the studio with my brother. I was close with my siblings growing up so that made home life easier when things were tough. My Mother was always about helping and educating. Now she’s Dr. Mom. My Step Father, a man in the music industry working with those I look up to today. My Father a Superstar Athlete with a voice as well. The combination allowed me to be all about love and helping others outside myself while passionately chasing the Dream. I have always been the person trying to bring people together even when it wasn’t a perfect fit, there’s just something about bringing people together and seeing results all around.
