Meet Jayden Murillo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayden Murillo.

Hi Jayden, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started since I was a very little kid, I’ve always had a passion for art-related subjects and enjoyed expressing my skills in drawing. Eventually, as the years went by I had been starting to get more comfortable with myself, I began to start expressing my sexuality over the pandemic which led me to come out to my family as well. The reactions from my family were very supportive which left me relieved, I started to become comfortable with wearing makeup around my family and expressing more of my feminine side. I began to start having more of a passion for makeup which had led me to start taking my makeup career seriously. I started posting on social media and began doing different makeup looks every day of the pandemic, which led me to post almost every single day on Instagram, TikTok, etc. Eventually as the months went by, I kept trying my hardest to grow my social media platforms, and soon enough one day, I posted a video on TikTok before I went to bed and woke up the next morning to see that my video had over 1m views. After that one video, I had gained an audience with hitting 10k within three days. After the video, there have been many opportunities opened up for me which had allowed me to work with many of my favorite beauty brands, which have also allowed me to attend different beauty events! I’ve also had the opportunity to be in my first-ever beauty campaign in 2022 which also opened up bigger opportunities for me as well.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely wasn’t easy and still isn’t as of today. I’ve learned along the way to never give up no matter what and to still keep trying your hardest. I have struggled along the way and at times, had given up, but being positive towards myself has definitely helped me through my journey as I still continue to grow. I’ve struggled with a lot of anxiety and still do till this day, but I have learned to always keep pushing through no matter how hard it is. The thing that motivates me to do my best is by making my mom proud of what I do. My mom has always been such a huge supporter of me which makes me want to keep pushing and do more to make her even more proud. I think my mom being there for me and supporting me throughout my journey and giving me such great advice when I need it truly has been the one thing that keeps me going!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Social Media/Beauty Influencer, I love creating many different artistic looks within my makeup. I’m mostly known for my transitions videos on TikTok as well as my GRWM videos. I have accomplished many of my goals that I had set for myself in the beginning of my journey, but the most thing I’m proud of is being in my first beauty campaign in 2022. I’ve always wanted to be in a campaign for a beauty brand and last year I did with Petite N Pretty! Not only am I proud of that but I’m also proud of myself for accepting who I am as a person being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Covid 19 was definitely hard for all of us, along the journey of experiencing Covid 19 I have learned to always spend as much time as possible with your loved ones. It was definitely hard to be isolated from our friends and family which had taught me to always take the time out of your day to check up on someone and spend time with them.
