Today we’d like to introduce you to Safoura Morovati.

Hi FouFou, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a licensed Esthetician and Professional Makeup Artist based in Los Angeles. My journey as a Makeup Artist began in 2004, and since then, I have had the pleasure of working with celebrities and contributed to Photo Shoots for Magazines, Muscle and Bikini Competitions, Editorials, and more. My work has been showcased in multiple outlets such as Music Videos, Billboards, and Fashion Shows, having collaborated with well-known photographers across Los Angeles.

I made the decision to become a Licensed Esthetician in 2017 after harboring the desire for quite some time. Despite it being on the back burner for a while, I finally felt ready to embark on the next chapter in my life after years of freelance work and nationwide travel. As a specialist in Skincare, Makeup, Eyelash Extensions and Microblading, my passion, unwavering commitment, and enthusiastic attitude inspire me to continue offering my clients the best satisfactory service possible. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Every profession presents unique challenges, and I have encountered my fair share of obstacles along the way. Yet, rather than viewing them as difficulties, I see these challenges as opportunities for personal growth and development. As a result, I believe I have developed resilience and a tough exterior that enables me to tackle any challenge that comes my way. I firmly subscribe to the notion that challenges are essential for learning and progress, which fuels my desire to take on even more difficult tasks. With this attitude, coupled with my love for my profession, I am confident that I can overcome anything.

As an Entrepreneur and Business owner, my constant desire is to provide my clients with an unforgettable and exceptional experience. I am driven by the desire to offer precisely what I, as a customer, would seek: an exceptional encounter, top-notch service, and outstanding results. While I strive to be a versatile One-Stop Shop, accommodating various needs, I have identified my areas of specialization to be Skincare, Eyelash Extensions, and Microblading.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Although my childhood memories could fill the pages of a book, there is one particular memory that stands out—the story of how I came to be known as FouFou. It all began when I visited my neighbor’s house with my friends to watch a French movie. The main character of the film happened to be named FouFou. Upon seeing me, my friend’s father remarked, “You resemble her, and from now on, I will call you FouFou.” Interestingly, I despised the name FouFou and repeatedly requested him to stop using it, but he persisted. It is almost as if he foresaw that one day it would become the very name associated with my business and brand. As I grew older, I developed a love for the nickname and decided to embrace it as my brand. In retrospect, I owe him a debt of gratitude for recognizing its potential long before I did.
