Throughout my career, I have served as a dedicated Executive Assistant to the CEOs of prominent corporations, immersing myself in the realm of high-profile events and celebrations. From meticulously planning holiday parties, summer picnics, and executive retreats to organizing weekly team-building events and client gatherings, my role encompassed everything in between. Undoubtedly, this facet of my job emerged as the pinnacle of my professional journey, as I not only excelled in it but found it to be immensely enjoyable and fulfilling. Witnessing the realization of a party’s vision and observing the radiant expressions on guests’ faces as they reveled in their memorable experiences truly brought me joy. I embarked on a transformative journey with a life coach, delving into the depths of my life purpose and true aspirations, a profound revelation emerged. It became evident that my passion lay in the art of party planning—the very aspect where my talents shone brightest. With a unique blend of creativity, exceptional interpersonal skills, and an unwavering commitment to getting things done, I embarked on a new path, birthing the creation of World’s Best Event Planning.

Initially, I juggled this newfound endeavor alongside my current role as an assistant to a high-net-worth family. Nevertheless, fate had its way, and in December 2019, during my final visit to the office for that year, I received an unexpected blow—termination. The family had made the decision to downsize their staff, leaving me suddenly unemployed. The timing couldn’t have been worse, as I had recently purchased and settled into my new home just a week prior. As I drove home, stunned by this unfortunate turn of events, the magnitude of its impact on my future loomed heavily.

In the days that followed, clarity began to dawn upon me. If I were to propel World’s Best Event Planning to triumph, I needed to commit to it wholeheartedly—and so I did. Fate took yet another twist as the pandemic hit a few months later, compelling me to pivot my business model and adapt to the uncertain times. While I had previously specialized in planning extravagant rooftop parties and lavish baby showers, I assembled an unstoppable team and perfected the concept of the Driveby party. Picture this: an outdoor DJ set up in the driveway, an exquisitely decorated table offering party favors to children as they drove by, an awe-inspiring display of balloons, vibrant yard signs dotting the lawn, and even the hiring of TikTok dancers to teach the latest dance crazes to the kids. It was an ingenious and wildly successful innovation that quickly gained popularity.

Simultaneously, I revisited my roots and tapped into my past endeavors. During my college years, I had established a bespoke gift basket business, and a simple request from my mother to “make one of those baskets you used to make” for one of her clients reignited that dormant spark within me. With Easter fast approaching and people reluctant to venture outside their homes, I began advertising custom Easter baskets. Before I knew it, I found myself meticulously crafting over 200 baskets, personally visiting all the open stores, adorning each basket with kids’ names, and ensuring that Easter was celebrated even amidst uncertain times. To this day, I have loyal clients who reach out annually for their personalized baskets, and my repertoire has expanded to include closing gifts for realtors and welcome gifts for various events.

Today, I am immensely grateful to proclaim that my unwavering dedication to my craft and my stress-free approach to event planning have granted me an abundance of referrals and a thriving career in a field I am wholeheartedly passionate about.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey so far hasn’t been a smooth ride, with its fair share of ups and downs in every business endeavor. Recently, I hosted an end-of-semester school party, aiming to make a grand entrance for the kids at the circus-themed event. Picture this: two gigantic larger-than-life popcorn bags overflowing with balloon popcorn, accompanied by a whimsical circus-themed directional sign and a circus master man on stilts greeting each child.

The plan was for everything to be delivered promptly by 10 am, allowing ample time to set up the balloons before the 12 pm party commencement. However, as the clock ticked towards 11 am, uneasiness started creeping in. There was no sign of the delivery, and my nerves began to fray. Unexpected setbacks like these can happen, but I knew I had to stay composed and devise a plan. The vendors claimed to be stuck in traffic, further fueling my anxiety.

In times like these, all we can do is adapt and remain calm. We made a collective decision to postpone the party’s start time from 12 pm to 12:15 pm (my apologies to the eager kids). With the assistance of dedicated staff and a couple of helpful parents, as soon as the items were finally unloaded from the truck, we sprung into action. Swiftly, we set up the decorations, ensuring that the children remained oblivious to the slight delay.

Though it was undeniably stressful, witnessing my client’s joy and receiving their profuse gratitude made it all worthwhile. Life often throws curveballs beyond our control, but in those moments, we must regroup and devise a plan of action while maintaining our composure under pressure.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
With an innate flair for creativity, I effortlessly tap into my clients’ desires and aspirations when discussing their party vision. In a matter of moments, their vision becomes crystal clear, and I can envision every detail in vivid clarity. It’s as if the ideas flow seamlessly, guided by an intuitive understanding of what will truly ignite joy and excitement.

Drawing from my wellspring of imagination, I instinctively know which playful elements will elevate the event to new heights. Colors come alive in my mind’s eye, effortlessly blending to create a harmonious and visually stunning atmosphere. My creative prowess allows me to surpass mere expectations and offer suggestions that go beyond the boundaries of their wildest dreams.

It’s a delightful dance between my imagination and their aspirations. With each idea, I bring a fresh perspective, introducing fun and captivating aspects that never even crossed their minds. The sheer delight on their faces as I present these unique and unexpected elements is a testament to the magic of my creative process.

As a natural-born creative, I have the remarkable ability to transform visions into realities, infusing every moment with a touch of enchantment. It is my greatest joy to exceed expectations, leaving my clients in awe of the wonders I conjure.

One of the most valuable insights I’ve gained is the unwavering belief in my own abilities. Embracing fearlessness and maintaining an unwavering focus on my goals and aspirations has been pivotal in achieving greatness in my endeavors.
