Meet Hadley Kennedy of Hadley Rose Esthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hadley Kennedy.

Hi Hadley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Before I was an esthetician, I was a freelance makeup artist. I attended a makeup academy in Hollywood & fell in love with the beauty industry. I loved seeing my client’s confidence transform after they left my chair. As I was prepping my client’s skin for their makeup, I realized that I was more interested in the health of the skin rather than glam. In 2021 I quit my full-time job & enrolled in Paul Mitchell’s Esthetics Program. I met amazing instructors & classmates along the way who inspired me and pushed me to become an independent esthetician. In January of 2023, I opened my business, Hadley Rose Esthetics. It took a lot of long hours, sacrifices, tears, & the help of friends & family, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My biggest challenge was being able to support myself financially while being in school full-time & while starting my business. I had to leave my full-time job to make the leap into entrepreneurship, meaning I’ve had to become creative to continue to generate income during the slow season. However, I’ve been blessed enough to be able to lean on the people closest to me for support.

As you know, we’re big fans of Hadley Rose Esthetics. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I provide custom facials & sugar waxing. My most requested service is dermaplaning, which gently exfoliates unwanted peach fuzz and dead skin cells from the face. I also specialize in quick & easy Brazilian sugaring. I chose to use sugar instead of traditional hard wax at my studio because it’s ethical and less painful for clients. It’s 100% natural & made of 3 simple ingredients which are sugar, water, & lemon juice. I’m proud to have experience providing skincare & sugaring services for people of all complexions. As different ethnicities require different ingredients & care.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Making people feel confident in their own skin is what matters to me the most. Not only on the outside but on the inside as well. As an esthetician, a lot of times I’m like a built-in therapist. I love the connection I have with my clients & making them feel like the best version of themselves.
