Meet Arash Khalifeh of K2D Inc. in Marina Del Rey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arash Khalifeh.

Arash, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After graduating UCSD with an undergrad in Mechanical Engineering, I started working in my Family Business at K2D Inc, which is a full-service mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering consulting firm. Fresh out of undergrad I started working at K2D Inc. as a full-time junior engineer while taking night classes for my MBA at Pepperdine under their fully employed MBA program.

12 year later I had spearheaded many of our firm’s successful Developments in the field of Multi-Family, Single Family, and Commercial developments not to mention leading many of the developments which had allowed our firm to design more LEED Platinum Multi-Family Developments then any engineering firm in the Nation.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Working in a family business has certainly had its ups and downs in the struggle of integrating new technologies to efficiently bring the firm up to the latest and greatest software tools available versus the old school engineering practices which were being utilized.

K2D Inc. – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Established in 2011, K2D Inc. is a Professional Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical engineering firm. Led by Arash Khalifeh, Principals of K2D Inc. and also LEED Accredited licensed mechanical engineers in California, Nevada, Colorado, Washington, Arizona, and Canada, our team is strongly committed in providing the highest quality of engineering design and personal attention to our clients. With a wide diversity in project experience, our firm is organized to provide services for healthcare, aviation, energy services, Title-24 Reporting, Commissioning, LEED, educational facilities, science and technology, as well as single family, Multi-Family, and mixed-use developments.

I would say we are most proud of having completed more LEED Platinum Multi-Family Developments then any engineering firm in the Nation.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Completing the First Ever approved Grey Water System in all of Los Angeles, and more LEED Platinum Multi-Family Developments then any engineering firm in the Nation.

This is a great article about Arash and his accomplishments. Also, congratulations are in order as I noted recently that Arash has founded his own venture at https://k2d.com/ as a result of his longstanding success within the industry. Wishing you much success!
