Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Keri.
Jonathan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
In June 2007, I was approached by one of my mom’s clients. He was in search of a project manager for his web development firm in Beverly Hills, California. After a brief phone conversation, the CEO of the company asked to interview me. Before I knew it, I had landed myself a job alongside one of the top web development companies in LA. During my time there I learned a lot of valuable lessons and I was given the opportunity to work with an amazing team. I gained a greater understanding of web development and internet marketing. It was then that I knew I wanted to start my own web design and marketing company. I felt like a fire was lit under me. I had a new burning desire to start something extraordinary. I only had one problem, what would I name it. It would have to be something catchy, something trendy, something that would make people remember what my company stands for. Days and weeks went by and I still couldn’t think of the perfect name. One day I was in the shower just throwing out words that came to mind, Click, Click, Click Happy! In that moment I knew I was ready to embark on my new journey.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting my own company definitely came with a number of hurdles. The first few months were the hardest. I was constantly seeking to improve myself and enhance my design and marketing strategies. My company became my life. I would eat, sleep, breathe Click Happy. One of the challenges I encountered when starting the company was being able to fulfill all the many roles of my company. I wore many hats and found it harder and harder to oversee everything as my company was growing. Finally, I made a decision to hand over, but still oversee, the smaller parts of my business. I realized in order for my business to grow and flourish I needed to devote my time to continuously educating myself on the new trends in the tech world as well as innovating my marketing techniques.
