Hi Allie & Becca, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi! We are Allie and Becca, a lesbian couple using our platforms, Allie Calegari and Secret Gaygent, to inspire women and the LGBTQ+ community to elevate their life and style. We started during the pandemic when we accidentally quarantined together. A year later, we decided to fearlessly pursue a happier, healthier life and empower others to do the same.

Now, we are launching our new brand, Lady and the Gentlewoman, that will provide inspiration, lifestyle advice and products to women and the LGBTQ+ community. The brand strives to empower our followers to harness their inner magic, dream wildly, and gain more confidence to live freely and romantically.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Chasing your dreams and taking risks in the name of passion is never smooth! We built our platform around our relationship and lifestyle together, which comes with its highs and lows. Queer people face discrimination that adversely affects their mental well-being and disproportionately struggle to maintain healthy relationships. During the pandemic, Allie suffered a number of sudden health issues while Becca struggled with her mental wellness. We navigated through lay-offs, family funerals, and a move across the country to find ourselves stronger and more united as a couple than ever before. We have not only persevered in the face of adversity, but we’ve also built a beautiful life we are proud of. This message and all the learnings we unlocked throughout our journey are what we hope will empower our community.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are known for our lifestyle content creation and coordinated fashion featuring femme and androgynous styles! Our unique approach to elevating life through style, food, romance and self-love is what we are most proud of and what our thousands of followers seek to be inspired by every day. Besides our platforms and new brand, Lady and the Gentlewoman, we also leverage our expertise to help brands and businesses enhance their digital strategy and curate intimate, high-end experiences. We are elated to get married this year, continue normalizing LGBTQ+ relationships, growing our brand on social media and appearing at in-person events!

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Our hard work, dedication and unwavering support for each other have and continue to be the pillars to our success. However, we are fortunate to have unconditional love from our families and a close-knit circle of friends. They are our biggest cheerleaders through the toughest times. Having a solid support system has given us the confidence to live unapologetically with pride and authentically lead with love.
