Today we’d like to introduce you to Andorian “DJ Beatific” Ramsey. They and their team shared their story with us below:
As a dedicated entertainer, Andorian “Beatific” Ramsey has been moving and entertaining crowds since he was 10 years old. Although he was born in the early 90’s, his roots in music date back to the “80’s Funk era” seeing his grandfather and uncles (Zapp and Roger) perform and entertain. As he developed, Beatific grew into the philosophy that everyone is connected through music– regardless of age, race, gender, or creed. This is the mindset that led him eventually to become the “World’s most Versatile DJ”.
Beatific’s unique sound and musical style have earned him a reputation as a sought-after performer, both regionally and internationally. He began his career in Washington D.C., where he burst onto the local music scene in 2009 and has since become a household name in the area. His impressive client list and exceptional performances have made him a staple at weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
Beatific has performed for over 800 weddings and counting, as well as many mitzvahs and quinceañeras, and hundreds of corporate conventions and events. His impressive clientele includes prominent figures such as Vice-President Kamala Harris, comedian Dave Chappelle, and artist Takashi Murakami, as well as corporate giants such as Apple, Google, ESPN, McAfee, Adobe, EBAY, Salesforce, Service Now, and countless others.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been an incredible journey so far, but like any path to success, there have been obstacles along the way. One of the biggest struggles was breaking into the music industry and establishing myself as a respected DJ. When I first started out, I had to work hard to prove myself and build a strong reputation. But with perseverance and dedication, I was able to break through and gain recognition for my unique sound and style.
Another challenge I faced was adapting to the changing landscape of the entertainment industry, especially during the pandemic. As physical events were put on hold, I had to pivot to virtual performances and find new ways to connect with my audience. But with the help of technology and my team at Beatific Entertainment, we were able to navigate this shift and continue to deliver exceptional entertainment services for our clients.
Overall, while there have been some bumps in the road, I believe that these challenges have helped me grow both personally and professionally. They have taught me the importance of resilience and the value of adapting to changing circumstances.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most people who know me or my work might be surprised to learn that I am also a trained graphic designer. While my career as a DJ and entrepreneur has been my primary focus, I have always had a passion for design and aesthetics.
In my spare time, I enjoy creating digital art and designing graphics for my own events and promotions. I find that being able to merge my creative interests with my work as a DJ and entrepreneur allows me to bring a unique perspective to my events and create a cohesive and visually appealing experience for my clients and guests.
While I don’t actively pursue graphic design work professionally, I believe that my background in design has given me a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of visual communication, which I apply to all aspects of my work.
Another little-known fact about me is that I approach my DJ sets in a unique way. As an empath, I can feel the energy in the room and use that to create a custom mix that fits the mood and vibe of the audience. I don’t like to plan every song that’s being played through the night, as I believe that each event and audience is unique, and I want to create a bespoke experience every time.
My approach to DJing is centered around the idea that music is a universal language that can connect people from all walks of life. By feeling the energy in the room and blending tracks in real time, I am able to create a unique masterpiece that resonates with the audience and creates a sense of unity and celebration.
This philosophy has allowed me to develop a reputation as one of the most versatile and dynamic DJs in the industry and has helped me to stand out from others in my field. I am passionate about bringing people together through music, and I believe that my approach to DJing allows me to do just that.
