Life & Work with Brianna Pievac

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Pievac.

Hi Brianna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born with Athetoid Cerebral Palsy and use a wheelchair but that doesn’t stop me from following my dreams! I’m a model, published author, and an Instagram influencer. I love modeling because it’s a way where I can express myself without words. I have a speech impediment so sometimes spoken language is hard. Out of no where I became ill in 2017 and was diagnosed with idiopathic Delirium, Depression, and Anxiety. Delirium is a mental illness that results in hallucinations and not recognizing anyone. Having 3 Mental Illnesses has not been easy. It’s been a test of my will, my friendships, and everything I’m about. With the power of a loving and supportive family, I believe anything is possible. When you born into a world not designed for you, you learn to roll with the punches. I’m showing the world that you can live life to the fullest with Cerebral Palsy and Mental Illnesses. I was 2022 California Jr Miss Amazing! I’m an ambassador for Unlimited Possibilities, an amazing organization that provides therapies and makes a more inclusive environment for people with disabilities.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the struggles I face are: people talking to me like a baby, walking, talking, people not talking directly to me, and people not being patient to me when talking to me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a model, published author, and an Instagram influencer. What sets me apart from others is my wheelchair and speech impediment. Something I’m most proud of is I modeled for Facebook.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I take risks just existing. I fall a lot. I broke one bone in 2007.
