Daily Inspiration: Meet Samantha Gutstadt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Gutstadt.

Hi Samantha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I came to LA as a traditional actress/model and film school grad. I loved comedy but was mostly getting cast as a villain in thrillers. It was after having my first kid I decided to take the leap and begin creating my own content. I truly made it up as I went. I am self-taught in a lot of the social media stuff and running a business.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth?! (Cue the laughing and crying simultaneously)… It’s been a journey I’m grateful for because it has taught me humility and grace. There have been amazing highs and demoralizing lows. But ultimately I LOVE what I do and the struggles push me to do better, be better and create better.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I write, produce, act, and run my own content studio. I specialize in creating branded and original comedic content. I’m proud of a lot of what I’ve built thus far but the most proud of what I created in 2020 when the world shut down. I pivoted and provided my services to places that couldn’t operate. I am so proud of the humor, content and honesty that came out of that crazy time. I also showed myself that I CAN.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I LOVE La! I’m from Toronto, Canada and being near the ocean and beach never gets old. LA to me is like many different cities in one. And it’s filled with possibilities, creativity and outdoorsy people like myself!
