Exploring Life & Business with Adam Cushman of Film 14

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Cushman.

Hi Adam, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started out writing prose, short stories mostly, and then a novel. Then moved into screenwriting and making short films. Someone asked me to make a book trailer and that was fun. It inspired me to do more of them and that’s how my company Film 14 was born. After that, I directed my first two features, Restraint, followed by The Maestro.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There’s nothing smooth about indie filmmaking. It’s always a struggle, but what choice do we have.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Film 14?
We make book trailers, videos, and short films for authors and the publishing industries. Our approach to making them is a little different in that we shoot most of our own original content.

What makes you happy?
Seeing talented artists succeed, achieve their goals, and receive recognition.
