Meet Anna Nicole

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Nicole.

Anna Nicole, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always had a love for music. My whole family is musical in one way or another, so it felt very innate for me to follow in their footsteps. I was in every choir and every musical in school, I performed in coffee shops as a little girl and would write songs at the piano with my grandfather as early as seven.

Now I try to write and sing as much as possible, whether it’s for me or for other artists, I’m just working on my consistency.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely not been smooth. It’s really easy to get distracted by life. I think what I’ve been missing is consistency.

I’ve learned to drop my need for perfection and I’m gonna hit the ground running this year. I’m paying less attention to the Instagram posts and more attention to the music.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. I specialize in writing songs that are heartbreakingly relatable! I feel like the songs that I love the most are the most vulnerable so I try to only write what’s true, even if it’s hard to admit at times.

I have three singles out with one on the way. My next single, ‘Night In July’, is my favorite song thus far. I worked on it with my dad in Seattle who produced it for me. It’s a lot more jazzy and it highlights a hard time for me. I feel like finishing a song helps me close a chapter.

Night In July comes out on January 20th. Look out for it!

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I’m currently reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. It really pushes you to go for what you want and push everything else out of the way, which has been really inspiring. I also love the podcasts Lovers and Friends by Sham Boodram and On purpose by Jay Shetty, although I’m always looking for more.
