Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Paskin. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Eric Paskin is the founder and CEO of Restore Health and Wellness Center. Restore Health and Wellness center is located in Los Angeles CA. Paskin spent a large part of his life struggling with his own battles with addiction. Eventually leading to a series of stints in institutions and periods of homelessness. In 2006 Paskin overcame a seemingly impossible struggle and eventually got clean himself. Since then it’s been his passion to help people find their own path to recovery.
After solidifying his recovery through 12 step program and acts of service, Paskin found himself working in the treatment industry, trying to help addicts who were struggling as he once. And after many years of experience, he is a well-respected member in the addiction treatment industry as an advocate, interventionist, and treatment center founder/owner.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My life has been a series of overcoming struggles. Born in 1976 to a white mother and black father I endured racism and discrimination as a child. A product of a divorced household I was also was subjected to physical and emotional abuse from my adopted father.
I turned to using drugs and alcohol at an early age to cope. What I thought was the answer to my pain and in ability to cope with life spiraled out of control and I struggled for a number of years until I got sober at 30 years old.
We’ve been impressed with Restore Health And Wellness Center, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Restore Health and Wellness Center is a leading provider of residential substance abuse services located in Los Angeles California. An 80-bed center, Restore offers a full continuum of substance abuse treatment services from medically monitored detoxification to intensive outpatient services.
In 2014 after working for some of the nation’s best providers of addiction treatment services and feeling unfulfilled Paskin decided to found Restore Health and Wellness Center. Paskin who has always had an entrepreneurial spirit opened restore with little resources but a passion for helping people. Believing that connection is the answer to addiction Paskin focused on assembling an incredible staff of caring professionals which is the heart and soul of Restore and their treatment philosophy.
