Life & Work with Alie Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alie Davis.

Hi Alie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I was a kid, my parents put me in modeling and I had the brief opportunity to do some commercials and print work. I was also a junior Olympic gymnast and this eventually took up all of my time. I did gymnastics in college and after college dabbled in modeling while living in Miami. I moved from Miami to New York and then to Los Angeles. I was scouted by Ford LA and my Manager Outlaw Artists Management, and I’ve been a full-time model and commercial actress since 2020

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wouldn’t say it’s a smooth road for anyone no matter where you start. I’ve had my fair share of adversities and tough experiences. However, I have been fortunate enough to have incredible representation with great communication through all of my agencies, and I couldn’t imagine what my career would be like without the support system that I have. It’s a lonely industry, you don’t have the same coworkers every day and you definitely need a social circle as well as a hobby to keep you busy in those slower seasons.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a full-time model and commercial actress. I dabble in theatrical acting an am actually filming my first feature film this December. I am currently with Elite models Miami, Wilhelmina, Denver, and Ford Los Angeles, and Ford Chicago. All of these contracts were huge accomplishments for me and the little girl that watched America’s next top model every single day. I do my best to bring personality and enthusiasm to set and remember the names of those I’ve worked with in the past, as I know that the jobs of everyone on set can be very stressful and all we want is to be able to express our passion and get the shot. Getting the shot is the most important thing to me and making sure the client is happy is my goal.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
It is worth it to work hard and make less so that you can get to the point where you’re able to be financially secure doing what you love, as opposed to working in a job that sucks the soul out of you every single day, just to hit a certain number in your bank account every month.
I am so happy that I took the jump, it is a tough decision to make but it has been and will continue to be a wonderful journey.
