Today we’d like to introduce you to Liis Lass.
Hi Liis, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I´ve observed people say that Liis Lass is a household name in Estonia. Being a rather private person, it takes me aback every single time. I guess the imprint in people’s minds have been made with a long career in both TV and Radio in Estonia, having been voted the sexiest woman by FHM Estonia among other titles and distinctions.
I´m a former beauty queen and model turned into a global real estate investor and songwriter dividing my time between Belgium, Estonia, Singapore and Miami – all the places I call home and have made beautiful memories in during my many years of global citizen lifestyle. I´ve quite recently published a book about one of my favourite places to be – Singapore. The book has garnered beautiful positive feedback which I am very happy about.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
If you have a goal and you keep to it and put in the work, then magical things will happen. Process of becoming has been natural. Thrill and unhappiness are both major indications of where the road is heading. I tend to listen to myself to avoid taking the wrong turn.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My day job is in real estate which I absolutely love but I´m mostly known for my persona in media and music. I write lyrics for major artists in Europe and now more recently also in Asia. Few schools have adapted my songs as their anthems which is a pretty high distinction and it is always positively chilling to hear one’s songs performed by a choir. The income from music is insignificant but the creative outlet is priceless. My music is my thoughts and my diary. All those different albums full of songs, whether pop, rock or ethno reflect everything that has been on my mind or weighted heavily on my heart. No emotional rock has been left unturned in the process of creating another hit song with a meaning.
How do you think about luck?
I would not know that, now would I? But I like to think the harder I work the luckier I get.
