Exploring Life & Business with Justin Jaye Vorise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Jaye Vorise. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Justin “Jaye” Vorise was born in San Diego, California, into a large, loving middle-class family. Justin’s parents, Lori and Jerome Vorise, were hard-working and very family-oriented. Justin showed an interest in music at a very early age, thanks to his parents. They exposed him to a variety of music at an early age. As Justin got older, he took an interest in business and the music industry’s artist development process. After his parent’s divorce, Justin moved to Vista, CA, a beautiful suburb about a half hour away, and would visit his mother every weekend. Justin and his father would have in-depth conversations about album sales and music industry news during their long drive to San Diego.

At the age of nine, Justin discovered his dream job – the role of an A&R – and decided from that day forward that it was his life’s goal. Justin later decided that he would use his role as an A&R as a stepping stone to create and own a subdivision vanity record label. After graduating from the Digital Media Design program at Kearny High School in 2007, he went on to obtain four college degrees to help him obtain that goal. Justin received two associate degrees from Palomar College in San Marcos, California – one in Social Science and behaviors and the other in Arts and Humanities. Justin then went on to get his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Sales and Marketing. , and finally, his MBA in Music Business from Southern New Hampshire University and Berklee Music School.

Justin has been working independently with artists, including roles such as personal manager, business manager, creative director, and marketing consultant. A few artists that Justin has worked with include: “NBC The Voice” contestant Jamar Rogers, VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop” talent and Trent Crews former artist Trent Crews, and Darrell Simms-an upcoming artist with over two million Soundcloud streams. Justin is consistently expanding his music industry expertise and wants to help erase the bad stigma attached to the music industry for being unfair to artists. Justin is releasing an educational Blog/Vlog geared towards up-and-coming artists to have the tools necessary to be successful before signing to a major record label.

Justin is currently managing two artists while taking courses to learn audio engineering with the hopes of being even more of an asset to his artists and companies he partners with. His fearlessness, tenacity, and love for the music industry make him a force to be reckoned with. Look for industry-changing results from Justin in the near future!

I recently decided to get into the entertainment field again after taking a seven years break. I recently shot a dating reality tv show, “After Happily Ever After” on BET and Doc series being released in early 2023 on a major streaming platform. I have also released a book called “ Figure Out Which Record Label Is the Best Fit for You Just-In-Time. Major vs. Indie” and working to release his second book early next year on Marketing Strategies for Indie Artists.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road at all to be completely honest with you. But I would not change anything about it because it makes me appreciate everything I accomplish that much more. I have faced so many things to get to where I am today including prejudice, racism, betrayal, failed attempts, loss of personal and business relationships, and financial losses. But I have also had a lot of wins along with those losses so I am grateful for all of it, the good and the bad. I’m just blessed to say I have a solid foundation that includes my friends, family, and business relationships and now my Castmily “my cast mates from AHEA”.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Just-In Time Music Group is a one-stop shop for independent music artists. I released my book based on this business. I offer contract bundle packages, music consultations, and marketing strategies for upcoming music releases or concerts.

Loyalty is Everything Entertainment and Management: is a full-functioning managing form for entertainers.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love my city weather, how close it is to the beach, the nightlife, and the Mexican Food.

I hate the traffic.
