Today we’d like to introduce you to Caley Alyssa.
Hi Caley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been fiercely committed to being in service to my community, to healing, and to growth. Whether it was working as a Trust Associate at The Private Bank for Wells Fargo, Opening my own family-centered yoga studio in San Francisco, or starting my Embodiment Coaching practice…I LOVE TO SERVE.
Throughout my years of becoming, my tried and true rule of thumb has always been to follow the good feels. Sometimes that requires me to take massive leaps of faith and trust that those feelings will lead me to a more expansive life! Like leaving my marriage to my high school sweetheart, becoming a full-time yoga teacher, and starting my coaching business.
And other times, I know I am in flow because the right opportunities are presented to me at the perfect time. When I say perfect, I mean I have done the prep work and am prepared in all the realms to say YES when they come.
At these precise moments in time were when the most amazing opportunities have presented themselves to me, like modeling and teaching for Alo Yoga, Creating digital content for Beachbody and Mindbodygreen, teaching at major festivals like Wanderlust and Lightening in a Bottle, being on the Cover of Yoga Journal Magazine, and being one of SELF Magazines top 5 best bodies in the world.
I continue to serve my community through my app and coaching business with GREAT LOVE because it truly moves me. And this service is amplified by my own spiritual growth path. I am dedicated to expanding my consciousness and continuing to push my own limits, break-through my own ceilings. Transformation and Transcendence.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, there were struggles! That’s how we learn, re-learn, grow, and perfect our craft. The struggles make us stronger, wiser, and better.
I’ve had many. The main struggle has been to overcome my circumstances. To stop playing the victim and take an active control of my life and responsibility for my present moment. I stayed in an extremely unhealthy relationship for far too long. This took time and energy away from my growth personally and professionally. I missed many amazing opportunities because I wasn’t prepared or in the right mindset to take them. I got comfortable where I was at and didn’t push myself to grow. I played chicken with the universe and didn’t take my success seriously.
All that being said, I’ve always been taken care of. There’s always been this underlying, guiding force that has had my back and gently nudged me in the right direction…sometimes, it takes a few nudges 😉
We’ve been impressed with Caley Alyssa, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
For a long time, I created content for other platforms, for other brands that would then own all of my material. And now, I have launched and run my own yoga, meditation, yoga nidra, and breath-work app, Caley Alyssa. The app is truly incredible! It’s got a super-engaged community who consistently inspires me to create for them. I release new single-class content weekly, seasonal resets quarterly, and launch other programs like my new Energy Center Tune-Up Meditation series and Full Cycle, a breath-work series for beginners.
I also run my own Embodiment Coaching program! Here is where my FULL background of business, finance, transformation, and spirituality comes into play: I work 1:1 with entrepreneurial females helping them to align their internal world with their external projection and to be wildly successful in the process. This coaching work FILLS MY CUP. And I am good at it. I see my past mentees like Ava Johanna who launched the Alchemized Life podcast & the Academy of Breath, and Rachel Weissman who launched Design to Be (a community for designers to grow their emotional intelligence) and I have such joy and appreciation for this work.
I love it. I LOVE IT!!
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
My view on risk taking is this: If you don’t take risks, you won’t ever fail. And if you don’t ever fail, you will never grow. Your expansion is limited. You are limited.
I’ve taken many risks.
My most favorite is investing for the first time in my own coach.
When I say investing, it was the most money I had paid for anything in my life to date.
And it was SCARY.
I didn’t have the money.
I maxed out my credit cards.
I used every spare penny I held ANYWHERE in ANY of my accounts.
AND it was worth every penny. My return on investment has been immeasurable because of the benefits I’ve gained that are of a personal and relational nature.
I still invest in my growth with my coaches to this day.
It’s important to me. And I am committed to my growth.
I am committed to my growth for my clients and their growth.
