Today we’d like to introduce you to Tabatha Thomas.
Hi Tabatha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Despite having an inconsistent upbringing, I navigate life more optimistically because of it. People, places and things have been proven temporary. I believe the feeling and energy you bring to others is important and I like to evoke that through art. Whether it is film photography, modeling, acting, creative direction, or just being behind the scenes—I always show up authentically without confining myself to one medium and I feel that is one of the reasons I have received opportunities.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I can not lie and say being an independent freelance artist in your twenties is easy, haha. I will admit to struggling for sure. One of the biggest lessons I have learned from struggle is self-discipline.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I always love this question. When asked in person, I always revert to speaking really fast and listing all of my interests/jobs or asking the person what they do instead. To be honest, the most consistent thing I do is make people smile. I am a full-time freelance artist and I have been modeling since 2013. I also enjoy film photography and am known for bringing a camera everywhere with me. I have experience with set design, dance, sewing and so much more which is why this question always makes me giggle. I do consider myself and many of us multifaceted!
What are your plans for the future?
I do try to stay as present as possible; however, I know my future involves a lot of love, abundance, financial stability and creativity.
