Inspiring Conversations with Lia Juhas of Lia Lash Pro & Living In Alignment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lia Juhas.

Hi Lia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got trained in eyelash extensions in 2013. It wasn’t until the end of 2014 when my business started to pick up, due to the lack of education there was at the time. Through trial and error, I was able to learn and improve my skill set, enough to save money to reinvest in my education even further. All whilst working from my basement.

Within a few months, I was booked solid. Within 2 years, I became an international educator hosting private and group training courses across Canada and United States. My business grew into a product line and a salon, up until March 2020 which we all know what happened.

I decided to pivot my business and move to Costa Rica to pursue a lifestyle with more balance. Living authentically, without cutting down my income, but gaining more time and enjoying life. This is when I created my online training courses and even partnered up with other educators across Canada and US to offer a never before seen dual lash training certification.

My passion for business and helping others grow has now turned into business mentorship, where I help other burnt out business owners overcome their blockages and help them pivot, transition and scale their businesses.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There is no such thing as a smooth road. But I welcome challenges and failures, simply because that is the only way to learn. The quicker you take the lesson, the quicker you can apply it to furthering your business.

My biggest challenges were when I outgrew my business and didn’t have the right resources and knowledge to grow it. It’s not easy finding a mentor that cares, and you don’t know what you don’t know. But this is exactly why I decided to share this knowledge I know have with others.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a multi-award-winning artist, international educator, conference speaker and judge in the eyelash extension educator. I am also a mentor, and I help other beauty professionals grow and scale their business.

My biggest accomplishment would definitely be the results that I have achieved with my students. Many of my students are corporate job turn to 6+ figure lash artists, salon owners, product creators and even multi-million dollar business owners. I take pride in the passion and integrity I have within my business and I have enough experience to effectively pass that knowledge down to others which results in high success rate within my students.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes. Covid has taught me that even though we focus on the bigger vision and greater plans, to live in the moment and enjoy life now, as anything can get taken away from you within a second. This was an extremely valuable lesson I have learned, that I now apply in my everyday life. This was the main reason I have decided to start fresh in Costa Rica and live a life with high values and meaning.
