Rising Stars: Meet Cindy “Tiny” Morales

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy “Tiny” Morales.

Hi Cindy “Tiny” , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my social media journey back in 2017 on Instagram because I was looking for a creative outlet. Besides doing some outfit posts I started posting about some of my favorite Valley spots, if you’re a valley resident you know how many hidden gems we have. After attending my first small business pop-up I also started sharing and supporting small businesses on my page, there is so much talent out there I felt the need to share it with my tribe as I like to call my followers/supporters. I like to think of my social media pages as a resource for inspiration, laughter, and a safe space people can come to and enjoy. Along the way, I have learned that collaboration is so much more important than competition.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
For the most part, it has been a nice journey and have made many amazing connections along the way. There have been some trolls but I’ve learned that you will not be everyone’s cup of tea just like not everyone is yours. Being on social media constantly can also take a toll on your mind and spirit so I’ve learned and expressed how important it is to have mental health days.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Valley Girl born and raised. I became a content creator back in 2017 as a creative outlet to escape my monotonous 9-5 job. I also wanted to see more Central American representation in the content creation/influencer space. I like to think of my social media channels as a resource where people can come to find places to eat in The Valley/LA area, to laugh because I love making funny TikToks and reels, and to find small businesses they didn’t know about and can support. I love uplifting and cheering on my fellow creatives and making people feel seen, heard, and appreciated. I am so proud of the amazing community I have cultivated along the years. Social media can be a dark place but I am happy I ended up on the uplifting supportive side.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I have learned how great having a community can be and how much more important collaboration and support is over competition. I’ve learned not to rush things because if it is for you, it will be yours in due time.
