Exploring Life & Business with Merav Goldman and Stacy Bernstein of All Better

Today we’d like to introduce you to Merav Goldman and Stacy Bernstein.

Hi Merav and Stacy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
We met on the playground at our kids’ school. Over the years, we talked about many things, but many of our conversations were around cannabis/CBD and the healing properties of the plant. The other main topic was mosquitos!!

Weird we know, but as Angelinos who love our outdoor lifestyle, the uptick of the “ankle biters” were impacting the quality of our life. Additionally, our kids have quite severe reactions to these bites, and turning to steroid solutions was the only thing providing them the relief they needed to not wake us up at 2 am with itchy skin. Then the pandemic hit.

Spring had sprung and the only way to see our family including immuno-compromised grandparents was by sitting outdoors in our yards at a safe distance. Not only was this a challenging time emotionally, but being outdoors was our only safe option, and we were all getting torn to shreds by the mosquitoes.

No thank you. One day, while commiserating over the phone, Merav said I have an idea… well you can imagine what I thought of the idea because All Better Co. was born.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Haha, well during a pandemic is anything smooth? We honestly thought we might build a prototype of a product as a “let’s just see” kind of thing, put something together in a couple of months and go from there.

When we started diving in, we discovered no one was really doing what we envisioned. So the business took on a life of its own and it took us almost two years until we launched the brand.

Along the way there were all sorts of issues, finding the right partners to work with, shipping delays, supply chain, etc. all while trying to homeschool 5 kids between the two of us.
