Hidden Gems: Meet Dhyani Bella of Eka Love Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dhyani Bella.

Hi Dhyani, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have tried numerous career paths – non-profits, agency work, nightlife, corporate America – and I’ve been successful at them. I enjoy being of service to others and doing non-profit work. But nothing ever felt right. I was always seeking my purpose, seeking what made me feel whole. I began going to sound baths to do something other than clubbing with my friends. We started a little sound bath crew; we’d go to a sound bath then to sushi in our super comfy, relaxed, and rejuvenated state. Finally, at the beginning of COVID, my friend and I were in Joshua Tree looking for a sound bath and couldn’t find one. It dawned on us that I could do this! Divinely timed, there was a certification training with the sound healer we’d frequented the following weekend. There began my journey…It took a while to get instruments (gongs/bowls/etc. take an investment).

It all unfolded once I put it out to the universe that this was what I was destined to do, this was me walking in my purpose and this was my next step. I sold out my first solo sound bath, and it’s been uphill ever since. I’ve helped Diddy, Karrueche, Lance and Bec Gross, Rizo’s Curls, Dogpound LA, private schools, professional athletes, and actors heal, relax, and release. I also teach yoga and manifestation coaching, furthering my growth while assisting others in theirs—yoga for my body, breath, and mindfulness. And coaching, which helps me manifest actionable goals and accountability. Now I’m happy, calm, at peace, and high on sound vibes!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being an entrepreneur has many challenges, but being a female entrepreneur in the healing space is uniquely challenging. There is an expectation of perfection and freebies. People see the word healer and assume they’re perfect, not cursing, dressing conservatively, being incessantly happy, and maintaining a toxic level of positivity. I’m here to show that healing is, first and foremost, never-ending. I’m constantly working on myself. And second, it’s human, and we should allow people to be themselves on their journey. (Men criticize my clothing on occasion, showing me misogyny knows no bounds.)

Also, due to the nature of the business, so many people ask for free sound healing and coaching sessions, citing my mission “to be of service.” They feel we should give “healing” away, time-wise and energetically, which can be energetically taxing!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Each day you take 20,000 breaths. That’s 20,000 reminders…

…to be present.

To remember where you come from.

And to be aware of where you’re going.

At Eka Love Wellness, we believe each and every one of those matter.

It’s why we’re on a mission to make growth feel grounded.

Through yoga, meditation, Reiki, Tapping, Sound baths, and manifestation mindset coaching, we are dedicated to helping you recenter and become rooted once again.

In a world that’s causing us to run in circles all day, we think it’s important that you take a moment to realize how full circle life is.

Those things you thought of as mundane could actually be miracles.

And those you viewed as basic could actually be blessings.

At Eka Love Wellness, we want to help you shift perspectives.

If you ever find yourself anxious, unsure, or stagnant, come move with us.

We’ve been there and know the power in taking a breathe and stretching into something new.

Here’s to uniting all the pieces that make you, you.

One love, one mind, one body.

Eka Love Wellness.

What were you like growing up?
I was born and raised in Oregon to hippy parents. A renowned yogi named me “one who sits in meditation.” And my father meditates three hours a day and uses mindfulness to manage life’s stressors. A practice he shared with me. I distinctly recall him taking me to the river after a bad breakup, explaining that everything stays in motion and growing. No wave is ever the same. And I, too, must evolve. He said you’ll miss the beauty of life if you stay in your head. So it seems that this path was all but inevitable. I spent years exploring alternate career paths, resisting this part of myself. But ultimately, I worked my way back to my hippy roots after using my upbringing to overcome massive anxiety and depression. It was like I had “come home.” Sound, yoga, and coaching have helped me flip my life, manifesting the reality I want for myself. And that is what I hope to provide for others through Eka Love Wellness, a path to building the life they want instead of settling for what they have.
