Community Highlights: Meet Sharon Ross of Keller Williams Calabasas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Ross.

Hi Sharon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, I was always into fashion and trends. So naturally, I attended FIDM in Downtown LA and landed a job as a fashion merchandiser. I quickly took over larger territories and my reputation grew in the fashion industry. Almost every job I had was through referrals. I designed for most major department stores and specialty chain stores throughout the US. I am also a single mom and that was a challenge to keep my career going and take care of my son. But somehow, I managed.

I have always been someone that was influenced by my father. He was a true entrepreneur. He taught me so much about business and fueled my passion to seek more. In true fashion, I got my teaching qualification to be a pilates instructor and have been teaching for the past seven years as a side gig. I evenly left the Corporate fashion world and began working as a freelance designer so I could spend more time with my son.

In addition, I also have my real estate license and actively working in this industry as well.

I still work in freelance fashion design, teach pilates and now focus a lot on my real estate business.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road was not always smooth. Going through a ruff divorce when my son was young and losing my dad in 2011 was difficult.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I specialize in single family homes and multi-unit homes (up to four units). Representing Investors, developers, Sellers and Buyer. My goal is to deliver a world-class experience for all your real estate needs. Experience has taught me a successful real estate transaction is the culmination of many moving parts and skills. I am here to help navigate every step of the way.

It brings me great joy to do more than just sell real estate. Building a reputation for outstanding service helping both buyers and sellers alike. My goal is to enhance your life, help you find the lifestyle you truly desire and contribute to your wellbeing.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Fashion design industry is very data-driven. Fashion is happening online! Sustainability as brand move towards eco-friendly production methods.

The real estate industry has been impacted by the pandemic and we are seeing new industry records being set. We can’t predict the market but we do know interest rates and inventory are a big factor. Cryptocurrency and the Metaverse have also just begun to impact real estate. New laws like SB9 and SB10 will also impact the future of real estate and address the housing shortage.
