Today we’d like to introduce you to Lydia Robles.
Hi Lydia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey in 2020 offering digital services for both personal use and business purposes. I create digital illustrations of photos submitted by customers and turn them into a special keepsake for their loved ones. I also help out other small businesses with their branding – designing business and informational cards, logos, and Instagram highlight templates. This year I have taken it up a notch and started designing new, trendy items such as custom Instagram & Facebook filters. I have also ventured out into handmade items such as crystal phone charms, self-affirmation cards, and much more. Since I am still very new to the creative world, I feel that I’ve been able to try new things and really find what I truly love to do. “Endlessly creating myself” has been one of my favorite sayings throughout this journey because it is exactly what I’m doing and it shows through the evolution of my brand.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Recently, no. I think last year in 2020, so many people were starting a business and everyone was super supportive of everyone else’s dreams. This year I realized that there are only a few people who will support you no matter what and others will simply only look out for themselves. It has been a hard transition for me setting boundaries and finding the motivation to continue when the people you’ve supported wholeheartedly for a while are silent when it comes to helping or supporting you. There have been times where I’ve wanted to give up and quit everything because I didn’t feel like I was good enough. However, my love for creating has pushed me to keep going regardless of who’s supporting me. I think it is important to take a step back and realize that you are worthy even when it doesn’t feel like it. Some people will never see your worth, but as long as you value yourself, that’s all that matters.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

I also help out other small businesses with their branding – designing business and informational cards, stickers, logos, Instagram highlight templates and more. This year I have taken it up a notch and started designing new, trendy items such as custom Instagram & Facebook filters. Since revamping my Instagram page, I have gotten a lot of positive feedback on the overall look of my profile including my variety of posts, reels, and highlight tabs so I also help others rebrand their Instagram with their own aesthetic. I have also ventured out into handmade items such as crystal mystery bags, phone charms, self-affirmation cards, and happy reminder prints. I think what sets me apart from others is my ability to be one step ahead of others in my field and offering unique and trendy items/services to my customers. There aren’t a lot of people who I know that do what I do or offer the services I do.
What makes you happy?
To me, happiness is putting myself first and doing what I want to do. As I was growing up, all I knew was pleasing other people. I never made decisions for myself and thought I had to make everyone else happy. I’ve learned that true happiness comes from within and we only have one life to live. Taking care of yourself is a priority whether that means taking the day off to visit the Disneyland Parks (my personal fave) or simply taking a mental health day to rest in bed and relax, it is necessary – the rest of the world can wait.
