Hi Adriana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up I’ve always been told that I have really smooth skin. I love taking baths and relaxing…I found myself buying all the essentials The bath bombs the scrubs the oils to keep and maintain the smoothness but then I was like I can make my own and save money. I looked up the stuff and basically did a little science project for myself and when the project was a success I considered starting my business. It started with an idea to save money really and now I can make the money while giving people the essentials they need to enjoy smooth skin and a peace of mind with the natural and pleasant aromas and fragrances my products have!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely been a rocky road! You know the saying “It takes money to make money” that’s a fact. I struggled with emotions, money, anxiety and even the mind frame of wanting to give up. Wanting to believe this was just a hobby and could not succeed as a business. Many nights of prayers and still praying. Having a strong support system has really helped me to keep going and strive for nothing short of the best. I’ve had “friends” frown up and give me the sense of discouragement. I really started doubting myself but I just knew nothing I ever want in life is easy or handed to me
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Lustful Essentials by Adri is a milestone and achievement in my personal life. It’s a brand that provides the essentials to enjoy the compliments of your own skin and embrace all flaws. I provide bath fizz, body oils and sugar scrubs. All of the product are made with natural and organic ingredients. They are meant to exfoliate the dead skin, smooth the body and relax the mind. From scents of eucalyptus to a citrus feel. I am most definitely known for always helping people. I feel this was another way in being able to help. Many may look at it like “oh its just cosmetics” but when you feel good within you look even better on the out. I am most proud of not giving up and pushing through even when I doubted myself the most. I feel my mindset tends to set me apart from others because I am always willing to help in any shape or form.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Within the next 5-10 years I see Lustful Essentials being sold in beauty supply stores, salons, local vending machines and even having a store front. I see more products being added to the line. Foot scrubs, body butters, hand creams and more.
