Meet Kemani Stylzz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kemani Stylzz.

Hi Kemani, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started out as a dancer first, I got my first camera specifically to record my own dance videos and I was inspired by Tumblr back in the day so I practiced taking photos. I’ve been shooting for seven years and in July of 2017, I quit day job to pursue photography full time.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been smooth, but with any type of entrepreneurship, you have trials and tribulations. One of the biggest challenges was becoming unfortunately half-blind after a brain surgery removing a tumor in the fall of November 2019.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a photographer and a dancer, I’m known for tones and angles with photography and as far as dancing, I’m known for tutting and Krump.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
A lot of my inspiration I get off of Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest.
