Today we’d like to introduce you to Brett Lemos.

Brett, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We have been doing business in Los Angeles CA for 20 years now and I know what’s out there in this duct cleaning business. There are many different companies with different approaches when you call a company for air duct cleaning. Lower definitely is not meaning better or even that they know what they are doing at all.

How often should I get my Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning System cleaned? There’s no straight answer to this question as it depends on a number of factors, these include:

1. The location of your system. – Near a freeway, forest, desert climate, on the coast etc.
2. Weather conditions for your area. -Windy, lots of rain, very dry air, very moist air etc.
3. How old your system is.
4. How often you change the filters. – Does it make a mess?

We use a negative air industrial vacuum unit with HEPA filters to capture dirt from the system while cleaning. While setting up to clean your system, like taking down air vents, our crews take care to protect furnishings, floors, etc. and they carefully clean up afterward. Our commercial proposal specifications states: “Cleaning of premises: we shall keep the job site clean of all surplus materials and debris. We shall dispose of all debris and leave area broom clean at the end of each work shift”. The same applies to residential projects.

How do I know the ducts are dirty?

Most systems have never been cleaned before and can benefit from it. One way is to find out from the a/c company that regularly maintains your furnace. If you don’t have one, then another method you can do is open a vent from any room in the house and shine a flashlight in it; if you see a thick film of dust/debris then it’s time to clean the system. Debris on the vents or when you turn the system on and debris comes out of vents that would also be an indication to get the system cleaned.

Regular maintenance of your A/C system can be a beneficial help to your body and property, using our help and technology in a world that is not as clean as we might like to believe.

This is a service business and you’re gonna get what you pay for, at the same time that doesn’t mean you have to pay top dollar to get great service, which I and our staff give and the $59 special guy, he’s gonna try to deceive/bait & switch you.
