Meet Kate Pinkett of Kate Pinkett Coaching in Culver City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Pinkett.

Kate, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a solopreneur of a few trades. I’m a psychic reader and life coach who uses my own finely-tuned intuition to guide sessions with clients. I’m also founder and facilitator of a networking group for women called Dreaming Out Loud, and most recently I am a certified professional cuddler!

My coaching business began in mid-2015 after I was certified through the Coaching Excellence Institute. In my early days of coaching, I was not able to do readings for people. It wasn’t until later that year that I became aware of my ability to connect directly with what is known as the “other side.”

In the summer of 2015, I began attending spiritual women’s groups where I was living at the time, in Austin, TX. These groups opened up my intuition in a huge way, to the point that I was able to begin channeling through the written word. Through my journaling, I discovered that I had a female spirit guide named Jess who was helping me uncover my life’s purpose and meaning, and the work I am supposed to be doing.

Once I built up that skill, along with the courage to be “out” as an intuitive, I began incorporating channeling into my sessions with clients. The channeled messages have provided tremendous healing at times, often bringing my clients to tears. This is why channeling is an important part of my practice today.

Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t entirely been a smooth road for me and my coaching business. In 2016, some of my channelings revealed a major intuitive breakthrough that led me to leave Austin, TX and rehome myself in Los Angeles. While I wouldn’t classify them as “struggles,” it has taken some time to adjust to living in a new city and state, far from where I was living previously. As a solopreneur, I wasn’t moving across the country for a company, or with the help that a company often gives their employees – I was moving for me, and I brought my services with me.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I specialize in providing a mixture of life coaching and psychic reading – relaying the messages and asking the questions that come to me intuitively.

What sets me apart from other coaches is that I often incorporate written channeling into my sessions with clients, and allow them to leave the session with the channelings in their hand. It can serve as a powerful reminder of their life purpose, their strength, and the unconditional love that is available to them.

As the facilitator of Dreaming Out Loud, I invite women to share their hopes, dreams and goals…. even the ones that seem too far away to be realistic. The group supports each other in achieving those goals, because the more we talk about what we actually want, the more likely we are to get it!

As a professional cuddler, I provide a safe environment for clients to receive nurturing, platonic touch.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Los Angeles is a great city for psychic readers and life coaches. There are already quite a few of us here. For someone just starting out as a coach or reader, I’d recommend living wherever you feel called to live – because you can build a business from anywhere. L.A. could be a good choice if the city resonates with you.
