Meet Digiannia Arbelaez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Digiannia Arbelaez.

Digiannia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born in Envigado, Colombia a beautiful town in the inner city filled with kind & welcoming individuals. I moved to Montclair New Jersey at the age of 11 knew no English but was eager to learn anything that was thrown at me I went back & forth between the two countries taking the best from each culture. I’ve always loved music since a very young age so the arts was a common denominator in every school, I went to I either sang danced or acted. It came easy to be to perform in front of people as a matter of fact, I loved it.

When it comes to higher education, I got a full ride at a small private school in New Jersey called Fairleigh Dickinson University. I studied communications & multimedia journalism & the last semester I had the opportunity to spend it in Barcelona studying abroad visiting almost ten different countries, learning about all different cultures & understanding that there is not only the one world we believe but many. On this trip, I had a lot of realizations & one of them was my purpose. I want to spread love & bring back humanity. I moved to LA in 2019 & started an interview talk show speaking of people of substance. People that even if you take all from them, they still have something beautiful to share with the world. That wasn’t the only thing I was inspired to do. Like I shared, I’ve always loved the arts & dreamed of being a singer, I was too scared though the industry being so saturated & life happening I gave up on the dream.

But not for long as I moved to LA, I understood with hard work & dedication, anything is possible & if I was already in the land of the dreamers why couldn’t I act upon my dream. I am as happy as I have ever been because I let go of fear. I had always done the back work had vocal coaches was in the chorus but never dare until October 29th, 2019 when I recorded my first original piece & understand that I was good that it wasn’t just a dream. I am currently following my dreams & working on a project looking around to see my friend as & family are one of the most talented individuals in the music industry. Everything is in Divine alignment & like I said, I am already successful because I am doing it.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Fear is the biggest struggle you are your only enemy. You are the only individual that can stop you from achieving your dreams. With music & well most things it’s about it all talent, hard work, the right connections but someone once said to me if you have a drop of water & you put it every day in the same glass at some point the glass will be full.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am currently working on my first original project. I write or co-write most of my songs and can say I am a beast at creating melodies. It’s so beyond beautiful to be able to bring your thoughts & feelings into a form of a song & be able to share it with the world. I am expecting to release my first single top of 2021

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I honestly believe it’s my genuine way to connect with individuals & the positivity I carry in my heart. I am grateful for everything the good the bad & the ugly. The more you thank the universe for what you’ve got the more it gives you.
