Meet Auctavius Bennett of DeValle Development, Millennial Flippers in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Auctavius Bennett.

Auctavius, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
So I got started in the business of flipping houses…. I guess it’s about five years ago now and before I did, I had just dropped out of college two years prior and was doing a bunch of odd jobs while living at home with my parents.

I was living on the east coast at the time and wanted to move out to Cali, so I ended up saving a few grand, registering my LLC, and driving cross country to LA to get my biz up and running. I experienced a roller coaster of events throughout my journey from living in the best high rise and closing fat deals to being dead broke living out of my car, bathing at LA fitness and driving for lyft.

I got to where I am today by modeling other people’s success, keeping a positive mental attitude and never quitting.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It was far from being a smooth ride in the beginning, it was quite chaotic. The experience of chasing a dream, achieving success than hitting rock bottom is very humbling. I can recall putting all the money I had into my business and working as hard as possible and things still not going how I needed them to go. There were many moments where I felt like quitting and giving up but the pain of moving back in with my parents was worst the pain of me living in my car as I pursued my dream. I had doors slammed in my face, guns pulled out on me, thousands of people telling me no but eventually after not giving up things started to work in my favor. I got a business partner, we begin to put our head together and after four months of living in my car, we closed a deal for 90 thousand dollars profit, only too three weeks after that, we used the money to expand the business, and we have been expanding ever since.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about DeValle Development, Millennial Flippers – what should we know?
DeValle Development specializes in buying and selling residential properties throughout California, Texas and Oklahoma. We buy houses in any condition and partner with house flippers to help make improvements to the property and they sell to a nice family. My business partner and I are most proud of being able to pivot during COVID-19 and completely shut down our physical office. We created a new business model where our entire staff works from home and have been able to lower our expenses while increasing revenue and quality of life for our employees. My partner Nick and I now put most of our attention on teaching everyday people how to discover financial freedom through our Real Estate education company Millennial Flippers. We do this through digital content, in person events and private coaching. What sets us apart is we teach from experience and not from theory. Also, we know that 90 percent of the business is mindset, once we can help you get over the mental hurdles of being successful then the tactical stuff is just a cherry on top.

During those tough times, I’ve had many YouTube mentors. A few names would be bob proctor, Tony Robbins, earl nightingale and Napoleon Hill. I would stuff my brain with as much personal growth material as possible so that I wouldn’t have time to think negative.

Also, I would have to give credit to my amazing staff. Everyone who works with us are go-getters and would not be where I am today without them.
