Meet Sean Evora of Evora Swim

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Evora.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I launched EVORA SWIM in March 2019 with the goal of making a difference. I wanted to create lifestyle brand focused on creating a meaningful impact and helping those in need through comfortable, fashion-forward swimwear that helps people look good & feel good at the same time.

With every piece of clothing purchased on evoraswim.com, we donate a portion of sales directly to Arrive In Kenya. Arrive in Kenya is a non-profit focused generating positive action and sustainable advancement to empower children in impoverished regions of the world by providing shelter, promoting good health, offering access to education and giving at risk children tools and opportunities for a successful, independent, and fulfilling life.

My goal is to help as many children within Arrive’s organization as possible while spreading awareness of this great cause through high quality and ethically conscious swimwear.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The hardest part about starting a lifestyle brand is generating traction and figuring out a way for people to notice you and your company. It has not always been a smooth road and at times has been very challenging to manage. But with all friction comes growth, and we are now poised to grow with a new website, better quality materials and a brand new swim line launching February 2021.

I had to take a step back and refocus on telling the story of Arrive in Kenya while also creating the highest quality possible swimwear for my brand. For these reasons, I recently changed suppliers, materials, fit, etc. and have created in my mind the highest possible quality swim trunks on the market with a refreshed website that will be sure to make splash upon launch early next year.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Evora Swim story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in High Quality, Fashion Forward Men’s Swimwear that supports African Children through ‘Arrive in Kenya’ with a donation coming from every pair sold. Our goal is to spread awareness of this great cause and help as many children as possible while creating exciting new swim trunks that our consumers can’t get enough of. We will always put our mission first and strive to create value in every aspect of our brand.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I feel lucky to have met the founder of Arrive in Kenya, Brian Ash, at my time in college at The University of Colorado at Boulder. For me, I have always dreamed of creating a brand and launching a company with the sole purpose of incorporating a social cause to change the world and make it a better place. With EVORA SWIM and Arrive in Kenya partnered together, I feel like we have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many and set forth a new movement of socially conscious swimwear.
