Meet Mo of LOSERs in IE

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mo.

Mo, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born in San Bernardino, where I lived with my sister and moms. My parents weren’t together, so as a kid I would visit my pops over in Riverside. My moms later ended up getting married in 2003, and my family of three became a family of 8. That same year, we moved to Moreno Valley where my parents raised us.

Coming up, I would watch Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Usher— all of them—dancing and just being creatives. I knew I wanted to have my hands in multiple things. I wanted to make a name for myself. Definitely haven’t “made it”, but I can say I’m on the right path.

Fast forward a couple of years, I’m taking my Dance style more seriously and beginning to perfect my craft. I started modeling and as a Freelance Model I’ve just been really trying to get my face out there more. I’ve been thankful for the amazing opportunities I’ve been blessed with, like being in Music Videos/Short Films with some top names like 2Chainz, Khalid, Umi, and KAYTRANADA. I have been given the pleasure of modeling for Young & Reckless over the past few months as well, but…what had to have been one of most inspirational/exciting moments on this journey was performing at the Grammy’s with Tyler, The Creator. I was grateful enough to meet more people outside of Tyler and get different perspectives on how I should go about making a name for myself.

I have plans for the future that step outside of just Dancing, Modeling, & Acting— such as starting a Brand, Designing, Directing, Producing, etc. The sun rises with endless possibilities that give you endless opportunities to begin again. So why not go experience something new, right?

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The grind is never smooth… Everyone that has a 9-5 while pursuing their dreams knows it’s never easy. Staying committed and inspired while trying to maintain a stable lifestyle and income has probably been the most challenging adversity.

Please tell us about LOSERs.
The LOSERs is an arts & entertainment group that consists of talents and bright minds across the board. My role in the LOSERs is creative directing, dancing, and modeling. What I’m most proud of is our ability to be as diverse as we are and still maintain unity. What sets us apart is our genuine desire to see EVERYONE win, regardless of association. We want to see all creatives reach higher heights.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very energetic and always dancing every opportunity that I had. Very expressive as a child because I knew that I wanted to make a career out of my gifts.
