Today we’d like to introduce you to Mon Alejo.

Mon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Marc & I have been friends for a very long time. We always discussed our dreams of wanting to grow and own a small business! One day we came across an opportunity to start a small business and so we sat down and started brains storming out ideas separately. One thing that became common between the two of us wanting to be in the entertainment or event industry and the Photo Booth seemed to be the most achievable way in! Marc bring photography experience to the table while I brought business and marketing to the mix. Our work together has had bumps but progress and success is always in our forefront. We understand the difficulty of any small business in keeping up with the competition and customer demand. But the beauty of our industry is that customers are always in existence. Every year offers a new wedding, another birthday, or any sort of celebration. So long as we have a service and product that can make our clients happy, we have a good thing going.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like any business, it hasn’t been a smooth road. In order to get our name out there we decided to start our business with promotions. We needed a portfolio and we needed customers so we offered our services at discounted rates. While referrals are extremely important for our business to stay afloat, it also keeps us honest in respecting out prices. We knew what our actual prices were compared to our discounted rates, but getting over that hump of adjust to what customer expected was difficult. Fortunately, after a customer sees what we have to offer and indulges in all the premium features they can enjoy, they understand the value of our packages.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Shnapshots Photo Booth – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Shnapshots Photo Booth is a premium event photography company that caters to giving customers exactly what they want. Our open-air photo booth allows our customers to customize their options and create a photo booth package that really feels like their own. My job in the business is to make sure that people know about us. I handle the social media, the marketing, and all customer interactions. I’m so proud of the success we have seen in a very short amount of time. I think living out the down time of a business is one of the most difficult times, but to see my partner and I get through that has been incredible. Our business is young and we have plenty to prove, the good thing is we’re both ready to show it.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our future hopes to see Shnapshots Photography has a house hold name in the event industry. We hope to expand our photography team so that we can offer a fleet of photographers that our clients can choose from. In terms of the photo booth, we hope to rent out multiple photo booths within major event spaces so they can also profit when renting their space. B2B business can be very successful in this industry.
