Meet Diamond Tucker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diamond Tucker.

Diamond, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve loved art for as long as I can remember from sketching to poetry to acting its been a passion all my life so when I turned 18, I moved to Los Angeles to follow my dream of making art for a living. I moved to LA in 2016 and bought my first DSLR camera and began doing photography, I then got into video editing as well I was very inspired by nature, philosophy, and spirituality which are very heavy influences on my current work. I took to Instagram as an outlet to share my art as mr_existential. I currently work as a photographer and videographer for a couple of close friends and artists. I’m now looking to expand my abilities to move on to bigger personal projects.

Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road from moving here at 18 and trying to find stability as well as work to provide for myself to continue to follow my dreams I’ve certainly hit a lot of bumps in the road but I’ve always found the strength to get back up. From going to therapy and getting on meds to help my mental health and heal my traumas, I’ve found inspiration in my struggles to relate and encourage others with my art.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I do photography as well as videography singing and acting. I think what sets me apart from others is my approach to my work with my inspirations drawing from spirituality and metaphysics as well as nature.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yeah, Los Angeles is where the arts thrive. I feel like no other place is better than LA this is where artists come.
