Today we’d like to introduce you to 4L JAVI and Thirty2.
Thanks for sharing your story with us 4L JAVI and Thirty2. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
4L JAVI – I grew up listening to a lot of R&B and Hip Hop in the house with my mom so I always had a sense of taste for that type of music at a young age. I’ve always been a student of the game and along the way of me doing it for almost two years now, I’ve soaked up game from other artists I watch. Brought Thirty and Pump along with me and we gone finish off like that hopefully.
Thirty2 – Man, I started about a year ago with the Marine homie OZEE in our barracks room closet. It was some weak stuff, then Javi put me on to the actual studio and I just started being more consistent from there. Then once Pump came around we just been applying pressure together and learning more and more and boomin’
Has it been a smooth road?
Thirty2 – It’s been solid. There hasn’t been any real struggle. I started music and got some buzz, but then got locked up so I didn’t do anything for like three months so that kinda sucked. I would say the biggest struggle is not poppin’ yet. Like I know we make some good music, no cocky stuff, and we been doing this for almost a year now like damn, why aren’t we up yet?
4L JAVI -I wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth road, definitely easier than most people trying but my expectations are higher than most people. I use my resources to the best of my ability so it works in our favor because I know how I want things done. Of course, there are struggles being that I’m impatient and want everything done faster than possible. I would say the biggest struggles come from within myself and just trying to reach the level we think we deserve.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
4L JAVI – We’re basically a music group, but we’re solo artists at the same. I’m proud of the fact that we work together and all have the same mindset and ideas for the releases or videos we have. What sets us apart is we just know what we’re doing. We don’t have ALL of the answers but you couldn’t tell by the way we’re moving and progressing. The 4L movement is moving faster than we even know and I’m thankful for all the people in our circle who contribute.
Thirty2 – Our group is not like a business but a movement/ group type. I’m an artist/co-founder of 4L. Eventually, we finna have a whole team with people in different areas. Like right now Tebo is our cover art guy, TimmyLee a big producer for us, AkaBeto takes a lot of photos for us, etc. I’m most proud of our movement as a group, we have hella people rocking with us like putting “4L” in their social media handles or in their bio, it makes me feel like we on to something and making an impact.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
4L JAVI & Thirty 2 – I think what we like best about our city is that it’s kind of undiscovered territory so we’re working towards being the first ones to pop out of Riverside. I would say what we least like about our city is the lack of support we get. You would think Riverside is our number 1 ranked city for listeners but it’s almost like the 4th or 5th city.
