Meet Bria Williams of Bemore Models

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bria Williams.

Bria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m a local Chicago entrepreneur. My photography business turned from a hobby to a lifestyle. I started my photography about business five years ago and have never looked back… My work ranges but is not limited to events like weddings, birthdays, baby showers, as well as more commercial and conceptual work. I’ve also done a lot of work with local clothing brands, artists, and entrepreneurs. The work that I gravitate to the most is conceptual work. Conceptual work is all about having a well thought out wardrobe, location and props. This is a favorite for me because I am able to take my time to create a story that resonates with my audience.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The life of an entrepreneur is never smooth. However, that’s the beauty in the business. I sometimes find myself contemplating if I have my client my all. Is there something I could have done better?

Please tell us about Bemore Models.
After five years in the game, I decided to expand my horizons. Which led me to start BEMORE Models in January of 2019. BMM is all about showcasing black models/ influencers in a positive representation. This has granted me the opportunity to build more meaningful relationships with my models post shoots. I began taking on a mentoring role to help models that were stagnant in their work. Going to fashion shows, sending out casting calls, and just always following up with my models to know how they are coexisting with other creatives. Longevity is another huge thing for me. The more you work with someone the better the quality of work is being that there’s an underlying level of confidence and trust in each other.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Something that I would have done differently is simply take my time. I sometimes find myself rushing to complete a task. Once I focused on one thing and mastered that then it’ll be an easier transition to the next task.
