Meet Tia Moe of Bosses That Brunch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tia Moe.

Tia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I decided to start Bosses That Brunch back in 2015 cause at the time I felt there wasn’t many events of this kind. I knew I wanted to do something to bring women together but have a great time as well. Personally, I loveee brunch so the two went hand and hand to me. This movement has brought me such a long way and has expanded over the years, we also have a Club “Bosses That Brunch Club” which was made in 2018 to bring the ladies together on a more personal level. I’ve gained so many great friendships from our club meetings, dinners, community events, and group chats. As the brand expands the events have become more of a demand by the supporters and women attending, and I am so grateful for it. I absolutely love what I do and can’t wait for our 5th Annual brunch in April 2020!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
HECK NO! lol, the road has defiantly been bumpy. One thing that a lot of people don’t realize starting in this field is there is A LOT of planning, budgeting, tears, and sweat that goes into it. The craziest things happen like misspelling on 60plus souvenir shirts to venues canceling last minute for an event. I wouldn’t change it for the world cause the end results always outweigh the bumps.

Please tell us about Bosses That Brunch.
Bosses That Brunch was created to be the ultimate Boss networking event, every year we strive for improvement and growth within the brand and community. Our annual brunch is literally everyone’s including myself favorite event we host. When I thought of creating the brunch I wanted it to have substance so I decided I would have a different panel every year of phenomenal boss ladies, an award ceremony honoring boss moves being made, live music, bottomless mimosas, delicious food, great vibes, and of course merch. and gifts!

One thing that I am most proud about when it comes to Bosses That Brunch is my consistency with it. To see where I am almost five years is sometimes unreal to me. Being respected in my hustle is something that I am also proud of.

Bosses That Brunch is set apart because of its history and originality.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
One word…BUDGET! Lol. I definitely jumped in my first year with my eyes bigger then my wallet! Thank God I’ve learned from that after the 1st annual brunch.
