Today we’d like to introduce you to Maryam Farr.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Maryam. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My mother had a beauty school in Iran and I spent countless days helping out with operations. It wasn’t until I moved to Connecticut, via the Philippines, that I began my journey as a cosmetologist. I started at The Salon at Saks Fifth Avenue. It was here that my insight on beauty became deep rooted.

I moved to the West Coast and for 14 years I worked at The Beverly Hills Hotel and then 10 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. I love servicing the community here in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, so after nearly 25 years, I decided to open up my own salon, Maryam of Beverly Hills.

It’s my own shop I also have formulated my own line of makeup under the same name which my clients rave as the best thing that has touched their skin.

I have a passion for providing the best experience and because of that I am well versed in all things that fall under the beauty umbrella, ie. make-up application, airbrush application, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, men’s grooming, waxing, threading and everything in between.

The stylists in my salon have also been servicing the Beverly Hills community for over a decade and they, as well as myself, are dedicated to unleashing the most beautiful you.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a smooth road. The Beverly Hills community may seem exclusive but I’ve found it to be very inclusive. We set high standards here because we think people deserve the best in every aspect.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I love to be in my salon, I love to sit outside of my salon and interact with people passing through the neighborhood. Our salon is a boutique size but we offer a wide range of services. We have a lot of guests who are from out of state and international visitors and we are honored to be a stop on their tour or vacation. I’m proud to have launched my own brand of make-up that I am very proud of. We ship worldwide and the feedback we get from customers is very gratifying. Maryam of Beverly Hills salon is a one stop shop. Whether someone wants to update an old style, touch up an existing look or be red carpet ready, we are here for them. We have built relationships with local businesses who refer their clients to us and because of the work that we do, we increase the credibility of not only our business but for others as well.
