Today we’d like to introduce you to Seema Cecil.

Seema, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Early 2002 I came from India and started eyebrows threading with one chair in the back of an Indian movie rental store. Worked 7 days of the week that first year. Working and going to school to get my Esthetician license. After I got the license I moved from the movie store and opened a small place of my own in the same building and started facials and waxing services with threading. I went back to school in 2094 again to get my cosmetology license. 2005 was the year we became almost full-service salon except for nail services. As we kept growing, in the year 2013 we opened a brand new facility with 6 chairs and 3 treatment rooms.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I wouldn’t say it was a smooth road but it wasn’t a struggle either. I worked hard day and night 60 or more hours week. But I enjoyed working so I never felt it was a struggle. My Husband has been on my side every step of the way and he made every hardship in this journey a smooth sail.

Seema’s skin care – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business is very simple and I want to keep it that way. We serve people and keeping our clients happy is our goal. As a business, we do a wide variety of beauty services from eyebrows threading to face threading. Eyelash and eyebrows tinting, eyelashes extensions, haircut, color, highlights, blowouts, permanent straightening, Brazilian blowouts, deep conditioning treatment, hot oil massage therapy for hair, henna application for hair and body. Facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, paraffin treatment, body waxing, bridal hair and makeup etc. Our specialty is threading and traditional Indian bridal henna. I also teach threading to students on one n one basis. Our consistency in service and commitment to keep clients happy is our strength and I am proud of that. I think we all have different qualities as individuals and business. My connection with my clients and my dedication towards my work I think that sets me apart from others.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is a great feeling of achievement and contentment. When you feel universe has given you all you ever wanted and it’s time to give back to the world, that’s success! I keep my goals moving up and that keeps me moving up. I want to keep learning humbling lessons of life by just talking and connecting with my wonderful clients.
