Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Roger Tsai, M.D.
Dr. Roger, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up from humble beginnings, my parents studied to achieve a successful career as a pharmacist and a computer engineer. Their hard work, dedication to their craft, and motivation were instilled into me to become the best I can which allowed me to be where I am today. Having some influence in the medical field, I decided to pursue my medical doctorate degree in order to help people. During medical school, surgery fascinated me and sparked my interest in plastic surgery. After 4 years of university, 4 years of medical school, and 6 years of an accelerated plastic surgery residency, now, I perform a variety of aesthetic surgery from head to toe – and what better place to do it than in Beverly Hills!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There are always challenges when you are in school and rigorous training into your 30’s. For me, luckily, it has been a very smooth road. I started school early, was accepted into an accelerated training program, and finished as one of youngest plastic surgeons in practice. Other than the struggles of long hours, little sleep, financial burden, and stringent education, what I miss the most is the lost time. Family, friends, relationships, hobbies, and vacations are all put on hold. But now, I am able to begin making up for lost time.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Dr. Roger Tsai, M.D. – what should we know?
I am a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. Although I perform a variety of procedures, I am known for my attention to detail and fixing botched surgeries from other places. What I am most proud of is how much joy I bring to my patients after their surgery. Their happiness and new-found confidence is all I need to see my company as being successful. What sets me apart is my bed-side manner, genuine demeanor, and honesty. I treat all my patients like they are family members – I don’t recommend anything I wouldn’t perform on my family. All my patients have my personal number that they can call at any time of day or night for questions or concerns. This personalized service is what sets me apart.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Almost all credit goes to my parents. Without their endless support, tireless effort, and encouraging motivation throughout my life, I would not be where I am today. Seeing how hard my parents worked to support our family had given me the motivation to work through the tough road to finally get where I am. The rest of the credit goes to my teachers and colleges throughout my studies and training, who have taught me the skills I need to be successful in my career.
