Conversations with the Inspiring Hannah Glover and Ariana Offray

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Glover and Ariana Offray.

Glover and Ariana, please share your story with us.
We started our journey as influencers with creative expression in mind. As a new couple, we wanted a way to document our life together in a vivid way. Taking the occasional selfie wasn’t enough for us. We wanted to push ourselves outside of our comfort zone, so we created a YouTube Channel in April of 2017. Our blog soon followed in July of 2017. From there, we discovered a newfound passion that we both shared, and we’ve just followed it ever since.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all. When we started our journey as influencers, we didn’t know anything. We literally just jumped right into it. We probably could have done more research, but the decision was spontaneous. Some of the struggles that we faced were finding time to be consistent with our content, staying positive and motivated to keep creating, facing rejection, and learning how the industry works.

Our advice to other women would be to just start. Your plan doesn’t have to be perfect, you don’t even need a long-winded plan to start. Like we mentioned, we just jumped right into blogging one day. We decided it’s what we wanted to do and we never looked back. If we had thought about it too much, we probably would have talked our way out of it. For young women pursuing their own journey, if you can see yourself doing something, go out and make it happen. Whether it’s YouTube, blogging or another journey.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The Angelinos story. Tell us more about the business.
We’re social influencers and creators of the blog The Angelinos. We do many things but that term serves as an umbrella term for the things that we do. Outside of being influencers, we might be considered artists professionally. Ariana is a Graphic designer while Hannah is currently in College majoring in cognitive science with a minor in art. The Angelinos has grown a lot since its start in July 2017. Honestly, we’re proud to have even made it this far. We are two women in an interracial relationship broadcasting our lives to the world. We haven’t seen many lesbian couples in the blogging world and finding other interracial lesbian couples to relate to is even more challenging.

Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
We love Facebook groups! We are a part of a handful of Facebook groups dedicated to bloggers and influencers. Being apart of these groups has taught us so many things. Not only is it great for meeting people within your field, but it’s educational. There are so many people within these groups willing to help others reach their goals. If you’re just starting out, joining a few Facebook groups related to your field can help a lot.
