Life & Work with Sherry Kear of riverside

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherry Kear.

Hi sherry, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Mine is a fairly typical story. I loved to lose myself in music , movies and TV. Would often dream of the day I’d see myself on the cover of TV Guide. My dad is a lifetime subscriber.
Over the years folks saw something in me and encouraged my journey.
The ride continues.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
All roads have bumps or potholes. Mine are no exception. The detours simply empower me to succeed. Help me grow & learn along the way.

Life steps in and you have to make few left turns that often made me stop, start & reinvent myself. One has to prioritize. So I did. Kinda just pull over to the curb & regroup. Take a look at the map.

Family members struggling & losing their battle with cancer & other illnesses , battling loss of homes & unemployment.
Trying to make ends meet while pursuing the dream. Constant hustle.

Luckily I’ve had support in many hearts who continue to encourage me.

The path may change but the destination remains the same.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I can gratefully call myself an actor & content creator and a bread maker!

I’ve been called a vocal gymnast for the many Voice Over characters I can come up with. That’s my forte.

I’d say being a character IS my Specialty.

I am proud every project I do & challenges I’ve overcome.
I’d have to say I am MOST proud
of the beautiful Humans & animals who I’ve crossed paths with.

Known for my positive attitude. Which is what I believe sets me apart from others.
Spreading the power of positivity

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Being OPEN to new experiences, finding confidence and believing in yourself .

Do NOT cut yourself off. Get out and explore. DO NOT WAIT. Waiting is a trap!! Create opportunities.

Being positive & grateful on the daily opens doors. Be kind.
Allows people to see your someone who is willing to learn & grow on all life’s levels. Someone they can invest time into.

What I’ve found to work is being honest & authentic. Be Your true self.
Folks don’t like to associate with a phony.

Sure we ALL have “THOSE” days.
But at the end of it
IF YOU Believe in the secret, surround yourself with folks who make you want to be the best person you can be, work hard aaand drop a lil knowledge along the way to those willing to listen…success is inevitable.
No matter what that looks like or how long it takes.
Be open to change & Dare to Inspire.
