Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaidyn Riggs.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi! I’m Kaidyn Riggs, a 20-year-old Videographer and Editor based in
Santa Clarita, California.
I was born in Reno, Nevada and throughout my childhood living there,
My dad would always film core family memories like me and my brother’s youth football games and our family always being together for the holidays.
This inspired me to teach myself how to edit and create my own videos for YouTube at 9 years old.
I would film everyday life videos as a kid, like being outside with my friends, riding bikes, and playing video games.
In 2016, Me and my family moved to Santa Clarita, California to be close to Los Angeles and for better life opportunities.
As I was wrapping up my youth career from sports, I decided to pursue filming more.
In 2018, I started to film my brother’s youth football team.
I started out with no professional gear, no media credentials, and no field access.
It was just me and my phone, filming from the bleachers.
Each game, I would make a highlight reel edit for his team and their end of the season highlight reel as well.
This was truly the start of my media career.
In 2019, I learned how to skateboard
and began filming small skate edits for Instagram.
My dad also gifted me his old camera he used in Nevada.
At the time, I realized there wasn’t really anyone else in Santa Clarita putting out any big edits with a camera or going out to film.
This inspired me to go out filming with a group of my friends and produce videos for YouTube.
I wanted to really leave an impact on our city’s skate scene.
When COVID hit, I decided to take a break from filming football and focus more on filming full time in the skate industry.
After quarantine, I began traveling and filming all over LA, SoCal, and
the Central Valley. I made a lot of connections, new friends, and began producing a lot of big video projects with my friends.
My dream goal with filming skating was to film for a Skate-shop or a known brand like Nike, Supreme, or hockey.
I began making skate event recap videos for Awake Skate-shop in Lindsay, California when they would put together big events.
Awake’s videographer at the time,
Noah Wasem, gifted me a Panasonic camera which is the same camera I use today.
It was my first professional camera setup and it was definitely a huge upgrade for my work.
As the years went on, I learned new editing techniques while taking
video production and photo class
in high school.
After Graduating, I knew I wanted to make this my full time career.
My goal was to make it happen without going to college.
I told myself if I ever struggled finding any clients or business I would go to college.
In 2024, a few weeks after graduating, I got offered to film the same youth football team my brother played for in 2018.
The team ended up going to the championship and playing
at Sofi Stadium here in LA.
This gave me a chance to film at an NFL stadium for the first time.
Filming at Sofi is one of the biggest accomplishments of my career.
After that, I started to get booked by high schools and more players all around Santa Clarita.
Those bookings really expanded everything for my career.
In 2025, I was all in.
Me and my brother Isiah built the
“Riggs Media” Instagram page.
We continued to be booked consistently and once football season hit, we were completely booked out by week 1.
We worked with almost every
high school in Santa Clarita that season and we also expanded our work into Los Angeles as well.
So far 2026 has been looking amazing for our business. I look to continue my work with sports, skating, and eventually other industries as well.
My consistency and work ethic has never slowed down from the start.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not, life always brings you challenges regardless if you’re at your highest or lowest.
While I was in high school, I dealt with negativity from others, I moved around houses a lot, and I experienced a lot of intense life changing experiences.
I’ve had some close friends go down bad paths and some of them have passed away.
Losing people I was really close to like that really messed me up.
I hated showing how hurt I was or how I was feeling because I never would want anyone to feel that pain.
I always want everyone around me to be happy.
With support from my friends and family, they gave me motivation to push through and overcome any obstacle I face.
I also feel like these life experiences made me really push myself to go harder with my work and stay consistent.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I built and run my own media company business “Riggs Media” with my brother Isiah Riggs.
We’re known for providing
our media work to a variety of industry’s such as Sports, Skateboarding, music, etc.
We specialize in videography, photography, and graphic design too.
Our consistency, work ethic, quality of work, and versatility really sets us apart from others.
Im most proud of all my work,
how far I came, and being credited
on multiple outlets such as
Thrasher Magazine, Shock Doctor, Skatefolio, YouTube, etc,
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My family, my friends, and appreciating life to the fullest.
My friends and family really have supported me since day one
and have done so much for me.
I want to shoutout my parents,
my brothers, and all my friends who support me.
They always supported me through the highs and the lows of my life, they believe in me, and they see my potential. I love and greatly appreciate all of them!
I wouldn’t be where I’m at with my career without them.
Always appreciate life, the little things around you, and what you have.
You never know when it will all be gone.
Appreciate everything.
