Meet Shenee Randolph of Ms Naestyles LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shenee Randolph.

Hi Shenee, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Ms Naestyles LLC from a personal place—watching how hair impacted confidence, especially when my daughter was bullied because of hers. That pushed me to create a space where people feel seen, confident, and cared for.

Being a mom to a child with special needs also shaped my purpose, showing me how important patience and inclusivity are in this industry. With over 20 years behind the chair, I’ve grown my passion into a brand focused on healthy hair, confidence, and community.

Today, I’m expanding into education and products, with a vision to create a larger space where I can serve, teach, and continue building impact.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Balancing motherhood, especially raising a child with special needs, while building a business has been one of my biggest challenges. There were times I had to pour into my family first and figure the business out later.

I’ve also faced the ups and downs that come with entrepreneurship—slow seasons, financial pressure, and learning how to value my work and stand firm in my pricing. On top of that, building a brand centered around healthy hair and inclusivity meant doing a lot of educating, because not everyone immediately understands that approach.

But every challenge pushed me to grow, get more intentional, and build something that actually stands for more than just doing hair.

As you know, we’re big fans of Ms Naestyles LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Ms Naestyles LLC is more than just a hair business—it’s a space centered around healthy hair, confidence, and real care. I specialize in natural hair, protective styles, silk presses, braids, loc maintenance, and customized services that focus on the overall health of the hair and scalp, not just the final look.

What really sets me apart is my approach. My clients aren’t all Instagram models, and I’m okay with that. My goal is for every single person who sits in my chair to leave feeling confident, seen, and taken care of. I also take pride in creating an inclusive environment, especially for clients with special needs who often don’t get the patience and understanding they deserve in traditional salon spaces.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of building something that stands for more than just beauty. I’ve expanded into my own product line and I’m stepping into education, teaching other stylists how to better serve all hair types and all clients.

I want readers to know that Ms Naestyles LLC is about intention. It’s about healthy hair, real results, and an experience that makes you feel good long after you leave the chair.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
For me, networking started with being genuine and actually showing up—not just when I needed something, but consistently. I’ve learned that real connections come from community, not competition. That’s a big part of why I created Black in Business 805—to give people a space to connect, collaborate, and grow together.

When it comes to finding a mentor, my advice is don’t wait for someone to formally take you under their wing. Pay attention to people who are already doing what you want to do, support them, learn from them, and build a relationship naturally. Sometimes mentorship doesn’t look like meetings and labels—it looks like access, conversations, and observing how they move.

What’s worked best for me is staying consistent, being open to learning, and not being afraid to put myself in rooms where I can grow. And when you do get in those rooms, don’t just take—add value, be supportive, and build real relationships. That’s what lasts.
