Today we’d like to introduce you to Leilani Spring.
Hi Leilani, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always been fascinated with digital design and what goes on behind the scenes when creating a digital presence, ever since my grandparents upgraded their typewriter for an old-school Macintosh computer in my pre-teens. I started helping friends and family write content, type things up, and start to design websites and graphics decades ago, like since I was around 17 or 18, and became even more invested in the field while earning my Master’s in Digital Media Journalism at Full Sail University.
From there, my passion grew not just for the creative side, but for truly connecting with people and understanding how they wanted their brand or image represented online. I started helping independent professionals and small organizations create a digital footprint that felt more personal, approachable, and authentic to who they were. That’s really where the idea behind my work today came from. I said to myself, how can I bring more accessibility, personalization, and human connection into the digital space and make it less intimidating.
What I noticed, interestingly enough, was that many people felt overwhelmed by digital media and large marketing agencies. They wanted someone they could actually talk to, collaborate with, and trust to help bring their vision to life in a way that still felt like them. So I thought I would create a space where that could happen!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I feel like with any digital business, there are always struggles because of how quickly everything in the tech world changes. It’s always going to be an adjustment because trends shift, platforms evolve, algorithms change overnight, and now AI is transforming the industry in a huge way. But honestly, that’s also what keeps the work exciting. What has always grounded me is the personalization component. My goal is to help bring my clients’ visions to life through real collaboration and connection. Yes, AI is a great resource and an incredibly helpful tool, but I don’t believe it will ever replace the human touch. That human element is what truly sets businesses and brands apart.
When you’re a nonprofit genuinely connecting with your community, a musician trying to express emotion and identity through their work, or a therapist wanting to express your passion and connection to clients, you need something that reflects your actual personality, mission, and feeling, not just something polished for the sake of being polished. I love being able to do that, including the technical stuff, while giving people the opportunity to really focus on what matters.
I love helping smaller organizations, creatives, and independent professionals do that in a way that takes the stress off having to learn all the technical aspects like SEO, websites, and digital strategy, so they can focus on what they’re passionate about. That’s really why I describe myself as a “digital media sidekick”; I want to feel like a trusted extension of their team, not just another service provider.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
If you ask any of my friends and family, you’ll hear that I love connecting with people. I’ve always wanted to uplift my squad in any way I can because I’ve had so many incredible mentors and role models in my life who showed me the importance of supporting one another.
I would say I’m known for really listening and helping make people’s goals come to life because I’ve had to do that for myself, too. I specialize in taking stress away from my clients and working as a team to help them stay relevant and consistent (long term!) in the digital media world, which can be very intimitating. This includes SEO, design, graphics, social media; you name it. Anything that will nurture your digital presence and help you meet your goals is what I aim to do.
It’s so important to have a presence online because the world exists on social media and the internet as a whole, and that’s not changing. But not everyone has the opportunity or resources to build that presence because so many marketing companies operate on a large scale. I see nothing wrong with that, but I really appreciate the more one-on-one, collaborative kind of relationship where clients can ask questions, feel supported, and truly be part of the process. That’s why I created Leilani Spring Digital.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
At the end of the day, I really just want to help people feel less intimidated by the digital world and focus on what they love, the same way I am able to with what I do. You don’t have to become a marketing expert overnight to build something meaningful online. Sometimes you just need the right support system and someone in your corner who genuinely cares about your vision.
One thing my clients really love is the ongoing maintenance and support aspect of my work. I help keep people relevant and present online without them having to constantly worry about keeping up with every new trend, platform update, or technical change. With how quickly everything evolves in the digital world, staying current is so important, and I love being able to take that stress off my clients so they can focus on what they do best.
