Today we’d like to introduce you to Dark Passenger.

Hi Dark Passenger, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Dark Passenger was founded by John Rubay and Tyler Trainer after a 10 year hiatus from music, with Tony Siouffey joining shortly before the debut of the band. Dark Passenger was born out of a need to fill an outlet and a passion for creativity – exploring different genres of metal, rock, and punk.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The music industry is a tough game. Balancing marketing, live show success, and developing new music is a consistent challenge alongside a day job.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are proud of our active approach to dfferentiating our sound by adding elements from multiple genres of music outside of metal and rock. That unique blend helps keep us interesting live and on our currently released record, ‘777.’

We are continuing on that path with Tony Siouffey added to the writing process, which will be displayed in upcoming releases before the fall season this year.

Come to shows, buy merch, follow our social media accounts, and stream our music. Good turnouts and bigger numbers on streaming platforms and ticket sales help us and all other independent artists get more opportunities.

We are very open to collaboration – our members have collaborated with artists within and outside of our genre and are continuing that in our upcoming releases.
