Conversations with Ralph Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ralph Green.

Hi Ralph, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I come from a background of homelessness and poverty. As a child, I lived on the streets of Skid Row from the age of three until I was about fifteen.

Throughout my life, I have resided in various hotels and relied on food provided by missions located downtown on Skid Row. I have witnessed some of the most distressing experiences that a child should never endure due to living in poverty. Interestingly, I am featured in a documentary titled “The Sidewalk Motel.”

My commitment to giving back and bringing resources to communities in dire need has been unwavering. I firmly believe that everyone deserves a chance to succeed and be blessed. As citizens, it is our responsibility to support our neighbors. When the devastating fires struck our home in the Altadena community, solitary projects promptly established a command post to assist the fire victims by delivering essential food and supplies to those in need.

In addition to my efforts to feed the homeless and support families recovering from the devastation they face, I have dedicated myself to making a positive impact on the lives of those around me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Getting people to see your vision and believe that everybody deserves to win.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work involves assisting individuals in achieving success in life, aiding them in overcoming specific hardships, and providing them with resources and facilitating connections with relevant organizations and businesses to support those in need.

What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to being honest and straightforward, whether it’s acknowledging someone’s mistakes or recognizing their rightness. I am also open to forming connections with anyone who is willing to lend a helping hand to individuals or families who are struggling.
